For all those tire kickers that show up in the comments of perfect but never ridden examples, here is a rare bike AND it has been ridden! Our latest Feature Listing is for this FZR750RU, Yamaha’s homologation special before the infamous OW01. We have seen a fair number of these this year and prices are definitely appreciating. This example has a few blems from a tip over but as you can see the overall condition looks better than very good. And at just $4500 you can feel good about putting the next 30k miles on this one!

Right side of front upper and lower cowling have minor damage from being blown over in Colorado winds. Right heated grip is torn from same wind incident. Grip still heats and does not drag on handlebar. There are also a few chips in the paint on the fuel tank from rocks and car doors.
Too bad he ruined the frame.
Never understood why some feel the need to do that.
Chromey look on a sportsbike…
I much prefer the factory satin type finish.
Going to turn some serious afficionados away.
Once again, rare ≠ desirable.
IM a serious aficionado and it doesn’t turn me away at all…every bike doesnt have to be a replica of a factory SBK racer. These things are street hot rods, and as such the restified look this one has, with the frame, the OWO1 bits, the Ohlins bits, it make me want it all the more. In fact, Im mulling it over, seriously…
It’s a nice bike. And though polishing wouldn’t be my choice, it doesn’t look bad and it’s not like this model was ever going to be in any museum. But…you can buy a lot of pretty damn cool bikes for $4,500…
Polished frame? Don’t like them, but a little time with a scouring pad could cure it. But I’m not too sure about the $4500.
Why is the OW01 infamous? I thought it was a more desirable bike to both own and ride. Sorry for my ignorance in this.
The OW01 IS more desirable. But this is not an OW01.
