If you’ve thought you went to the ends of the Earth to source a part, you need to read the sellers’ story about this bike. It is an interesting read backed up with good visuals.
The story involves this odd looking front end. The story starts here.
Enjoy some pictures.
There hasn’t been much action on the auction yet with just a couple of days remaining.

Pig ugly, but fabulous at the same time! I love it.
I agree ! But in fairness I guess it was ”De Rigeur” back in its day . Lot of experimentation went on back then (ummmm with drugs too !) . LOL ! Still unique I have to say .
No more of a pervert than the rest of us….. There’s just more of a crowd over here. At the moment! I wonder if my collection of two strokes will seem as out there in 30 years? Probably, when the new kids are comparing the latest Duracell Hydrogen Cell with 200ft lb’s.
Well, it certainly is unique and “interesting”. Not something I’d have to have in my collection, though.
It still says something that the LL forks have never really caught on. If they were that great I am sure the racers of today would all have them. Just my 2 cents.
@Tim, it’s called thinking outside the box. People use what they are comfortable with. There is been many cases where mono rear shocks were used decades prior but the top manufacturers where still using twin shocks in the 70’s/80’s. Today standards this is not seen as ideal for a better handling production racer. Same is true with LL front ends or FFEs (funny front-ends) but telescopic forks have had tons of R&D done and this is what people are comfortable with. Sometimes people are easily convinced the devil you know is better than the devil you don’t know.
