I think this is the first time I’ve seen this. A production bike, kitted up and then tucked away for safe keeping. Situations change, injuries happen and we all know about money. Whatever the reason, here is your chance to jump back to 08 on a massaged CBR.

This is an extremely rare opportunity to showroom condition fully built 2008 CBR600RR race bike. The list of upgrades and modifications exceeds $30,000.00 there is a full detailed list invoice/receipt from Erion Racing. No expense was spared during this build mainly HRC Honda Racing parts used in the build. After the build the bike was drained and prepped for “long term” dry storage and shipped back to it’s home in Paradise Valley, Arizona where it has been stored in a climate controlled environment.
This is a beautiful machine showroom condition everything is brand new!!
I don’t think you can argue about the quality of the upgrades but what is she worth? The BIN is $13,500. I know racing equipment ages practically overnight. There is an interesting story out there in the world of amateur motocross though, there is a kid racing a 1985 CR250 against all the 2013 equipment and doing quite well. Hmm…..

Sad for the owner as why you would spend that kind of money on a 600 is beyond me..? Regardless of who build it and with no real unubtanium kit parts! He could have waited around and found a real Superbike show up for sale on Ebay and actually would have put his money to good use. This is only a 600 and is only worth around $5k unfortunately.
Mike…Just so you know, Kevin “Erion” was basically Factory Honda and HRC meant “real kit parts”. Privateer teams could buy the HRC parts through Erion Racing but they were very expensive and the changes you could make to the 600’s at the time were rather limited. Please let me know where I can buy one of these these for $5,000.00, I’ll take ten.
I think the bike is well done, shame that it sat for so long though – I would think that the motor would have to be taken apart and checked after such a long storage period….. Still well executed.
Um mm, no he was not. He is a great guy but even he did not get WORKS parts all the time. This has no hard to get parts. It’s got nothing to do with Erion as much as the owner. Yea I know a little something about a lot.. When you show up with one of the 600 Superbikes built for Daytona, or an RC45, or SP1, or SP2 then come and talk to me.. Oh that’s right HONDA HRC very rarely let any proprietary parts not go back to the Factory at the end of the year, and that’s right they Audited everything. HONDA was the strictest of all the manufacturers. Not saying it doesn’t have nice kit parts, but everything on that bike has an HRC part number that could be bought out of a catalog. It’s not a bad bike, but it’s a 600 and for $50k anyone could build a 1000cc into a monster. If your going to spend $50k do it on a 1000 and put some real Ohlins, on it, HRC Kit Parts, Kit Wheels, and so on…. I get tired of people thinking regular everyday bikes that are mass produced are RARE…! Let’s get real, and get the owner ready to take a BIG loss on, yes just a 600.
(Mike) This bike appears to be built as an AMA”super-sport ” bike using HRC “kit” parts that were available through Erion Racing at the time. Honda had pulled out of AMA because of DMG/Edmonson ruining the organization (ripples to this day) with their poor management skills driving the factories away. Honda turned over their race effort to Erion as their satellite team to carry the torch. The parts available to buy were as close to “unobtainable kit parts” as you could get and were expensive. Honda has always tried to NEVER let their real kit parts fall into the hands of mere mortals (Except for Pop’s, Hanson, Velasco and some others) . But they did make parts available that were close. I seem to remember somewhere north of $35,000 to build a reasonable 600 Super-sport bike. You couldn’t buy one of Mladin’s or Hodgson’s super-bike fork legs for that…but that’s another story. So what you have here is a “new” 2008 AMA Super sport track bike equipped with some very nice H.R.C “kit’ parts. Honda 600 rare? Please. This one rare? That depends. You can buy it for 1/3 of what it cost to build and ride around the outside of the track day boys on their big bad 1000’s? Sounds like money well spent and lots of fun to boot.
Is it still for sale?
I like it and would like to find out if still for sale. I tried the person registered to the eBay sale but no reply. Do you know how to get untouchable with the owner?
Thank much Damon
