Can I share something personal? I’m torn – genuinely torn. On one hand I’m ecstatic to see all these Bimotas on the market these days, but on the other, it’s painful – PAINFUL – not having the cash to scoop up every single one of them! First it was the absolutely gorgeous and super rare DB1SR tricolore that Alex found, and now this – :
Bimota DB1 750. Only 2500kms or 1500miles on the clock. Engine model ZDM750L. The bike is in very good condition. It was used for the first few years then has been in storage having the engine started and servicing done every so often. The engine has now not been started for about 1year and will need a full service. The body work presents nicely however the bike is over 20years old. This is Motorbike history and a rare chance for a DB1
The seller lists this as an 1985 model, but as far I know the first year for the DB1 is 1986. Also, those mirrors doesn’t look like they are original, but minor details really. The thing that I am most concerned about is the price – $30,000! Yes, the DB1 is a legend and this one is mint, but $30,000?
Nevertheless, do check out the auction because there’s a link with a few more photos of this gem.
