The ZX-7R is the last 750 green racer that Kawasaki produced before moving to the 900cc of the ZX-9R. The ZX-7R is a direct descendent of the glorious Kawasaki ZXR of the early 90s. In 1993 the ZX-7RR became World SBK champion under the hands of Scott Russell. While the weight of the street version of the ZX-7R actually went up from the previous model the engine was made smoother. As all Kawasaki, the power comes in at the high rpm range but this one had a bit more grunt down below. While the competition moved on with more radical changes in the late 90s, the Kawa was more of a refined and improved version of the previous one. While many probably expected something a bit more courageous for the long awaited ZXR Ram air successor the ZX7-R proved on the race track to be still competitive for many years. this was due to the great handling and stability of the bike.
Below here is what can called a survivor and with less than 15.000 km on the clock a true Rare SportBike !
The single owner form new, mentions how carefully this beauty was taken care of throughout its life until now. Yearly changes of oil and filter regardless of the mileage, a smooth wear in process limited at 4000 rpm and the avoidance of rain kept this bike in its immaculate and 100% original condition. This is for me a really precious find. With a starting price of just short of 4000 $ this is in my opinion worth it (in these conditions).
If only my garage wasn’t so full…(how many times did I say that :-))
