99 Buell X1 Lighting blue stripe limited edition with 3500 original miles. Runs and rides excellent has the factory racing exhaust with ecm and air filter along with the optional polished wheels. New battery newer tires that are like new. comes with an extra tank cover signed by Eric Buell, factory seat and owners manuals. Left rear blinker was recently broken while in the shop but a factory new one is ordered and will come with the bike. Rare bike that’s getting hard to find. $4000

The X1 was Buell finally growing up a little, still a Sportster motor strapped into a frame that wanted to fight you, but with fuel injection and enough polish that it didn’t feel like a science project anymore. This one’s in Blue Stripe, one of the better looking colorways Buell did, and 3,500 miles on it means somebody mostly looked at it instead of riding it.
The factory race exhaust and matching ECM aren’t a bolt-on add, they’re a documented factory option, which matters on these since so many X1s have been hacked on over the years. A tank cover signed by Eric Buell is a nice touch too, purely a bragging rights item, but a fun one.
At $4,000 this sits right around where clean, low mile X1s have been trading. Buells still don’t get the respect they deserve, which is exactly why they’re worth paying attention to right now.
