The Suzuki Bandit 400, otherwise known as the GSF400, is pretty rare as far as 400cc machines go. We don’t see these bikes often, but when we do they seem to be fan favorites. This particular bike has relatively low miles (7,100), and looks great in fire-engine red. Sporting a Kerker exhaust slip-on and aftermarket bikini fairing, this Bandit is ready for a new home.
1992 Suzuki Bandit 400 for sale on eBay
From the seller:
I assume if you’re reading this, you know what this bike is.This is one very, very clean Bandit 400.
It had been sitting for a couple of years so I cleaned the carbs out and got it running properly. It could still use a carb sync but it is ride-able as is.It sports all original paint, reflectors and blinkers.
A previous owner gave it couple of modifications: rare Kerker slip on & a nice Targa headlight fairing. For a 21 year old bike, it is in incredible condition. The odometer reads just 7100 miles!
I’ve put about a hundred miles on this bike and it is a blast. I wish I could keep it but I am thinning the herd. Please don’t ask if you can ride it home to California, I do not know. I’ve ridden it around town and it seems fine but I cannot guarantee it will make a 600 mile journey.
The bike was purchased in NH so it comes with a transferable NH registration.
This bike is available now and is located in Massachusetts. The auction has started out with a very low opening ask, and after heavy bidding has only risen up to $825 – with no reserve in place. This particular bike just might be a real bargain in the world of the rare… Click the link to jump over to the auction and check this one out. Good Luck!

A handicapped parking space? That was the only spot to snap some pictures of your ride?
Good call. Not only that, they’re all pretty poor pictures anyway. A distracting car in background, shadows, poor angles- half the composition is parking lot in each one. It’s amazing how many sellers don’t even grasp the basics on how to best present and market their vehicles. Bandit should sell for around $2200 despite seller’s lack of awareness.
Besides belonging on Craigslist the biggest mistake was showing it here.
Just because it is inexpensive does not mean its not desirable. These little 400s are an absolute blast to ride and hard to come by. I hope the next owner rides the heck out of it. That little GSXR motor is a jewel!
Hey guys.
Thanks for the bad comments. I let my co-worker take it for a ride when I brought it to work and that was the only parking space available. Perhaps he’s mentally handicapped.
Also thanks for the comments about the pictures. I forgot to hire a professional photographer to come take pictures of my 20 year old bike while I was on lunch break at work! Phew, I’m glad the super sleuths at RSBSFS realized this.
Are you offering to pay for the photographer next time? I’ll gladly take you up on your offer if you are!
As the listing states, “Please see images. I can email more to interested parties. ” So your comments are pretty unfounded.
Welcome to RSBFS, Garrett. Nice little rare bike you have there. The small Bandit has a pretty serious fan base here, as do most of the 400cc machines.
Looks like you have some solid bidding activity on this bike. Good luck with the sale!
