If you’ve been on the lookout for a Ducati SportClassic you’ve probably noticed they command quite a premium these days, and for good reason. But this is no ordinary Sport 1000S. This bike is on a whole other level though as it’s an NCR built race machine. Act quickly as there isn’t much time left on this one.
2007 NCR Ducati For Sale on eBay
from the seller:
This is number 12 of 50. This is a mint condition like new race bike. ** It was never issued with a title and was only meant to be raced and it does not come with a title (eBay does not have a no title option so I had to mark clear title above) ** It has been stored inside a heat controlled facility. It has been hand signed by Cook Neilson & Phil Schilling on the tail section. It is pictured without the belly pan but it comes with the bike and has since been re installed. This bike was started when new and driven around the block once so I don’t know the exact mileage because the battery was removed. This bike has never been raced.
The exotica parts upgrades, engineering and attention to detail on this bike are stunning! It weighs nearly 25% less than the Sport 1000S but has 40% more power as well. We don’t post many custom builds, but using that term really doesn’t apply here. This is from a storied Ducati race tuner and they have been making the best even better for years.
Here’s what MCN had to say about it when it launched. “It’s a racebike that happens to look like a beautiful piece of machinery.”
Original cost on these bikes was $75k. Current bid is above $45k with a reserve still in place, but there has been steady bidding. And on the really choice pieces this year the real action has been in the final minutes. I’m very excited to see if this bike sells and what the price will be. C’mon lotto ticket!
I absolutely love this bike. Trouble is I’d want to race it and at $50k that’s not really doable…
As stunningly beautiful as this bike is (you have to see one close up to really appreciate it), it begs the question: what do you do with it? Can’t ride it on the road, can’t race it, can’t ride it except possibly an open vintage track day somewhere. Realistically it’s destined to be a never ridden static museum or collection display. What a shame!
Sale price? Alot of green . . . .
This bike will keep up with about anything on the track due to hsp/weight ratio. Shame it can’t be street able.
