False alarm- Thanks to everyone who has set me straight on this model.
2006 Yamaha LE 50th Anniversary R1
Location: New Haven, IN
Price: $6,850.00 B.I.N. (!)
Mileage: 13,623
So…. I know I’ll probably catch some ‘stuff’ for posting this one when there are better ones to be had. But, I always like finding a “gem in the rough” and I think this one fits that category quite well. We usually see these floating around for sale in the $12,000 to $13,000 range, but this one is being offered at almost half the super low mileage LE’s we’ve previously had on RSBFS. I think this is an absolute steal for this bike and I have a sneaky suspicion as to why it might still be for sale. It is listed on ebay as a 2006 Honda Shadow Yamaha R1.
In case you’re wondering about the seller it appears they are on the up and up, but they just placed this one in the wrong category.
Have a look:
For Sale 2006 Yamaha R1 LE 50th Anniversary Edition With the Marchesini mag rims runs and rides great only thing i can find wrong is a small scratch on the right side of the upper fairing and a small crack in the tail that are very hard to see
to see this one.
Okay, so you’re not down with a high mileage collectible rider. I also found this listed on ebay as well.
Cheers!

Both Yamaha R1’s shown are not LE’s. These bikes to not have the correct forks or number tags on the top triple clamp.
Thank you for the clarification. I have investigated a little more and am now clear on the differences. I guess one of the easiest was to tell is the front forks are silver versus gold?
Doesn’t have the Ohlins suspension.
