This caught my attention while surfing Craigslist. This color scheme was my favorite from this year and model and looking back now, it still is. (No offense to the pink aficionados of the early 90s.)
Cycle World did a write up about the CBR-600 F-2 stating, “Owners of the F2 report that it was a very balanced bike that could be street-ridden or raced on the track with equal ease. Unlike today’s extremely narrow-focus bikes, middleweights of the nineties generation were expected to do it all. The dyno charts of 1991 show the CBR-F2 making a class-leading 85 horsepower and turning quarter-mile times of 11.3 seconds at 120 mph. And it was not only the quickest and faster bike in the 600cc class, it still delivered 42 mpg. Honda ruled the 600cc roost and would not face a serious challenge until the new Ninja ZX-6R arrived in 1995.”

RSBFS:
I rode a pink and blue one back in 94. These seemed way more racey than it’s predecessor, the Hurricane. And the white is Honda 90s all the way.
The following year, 1993, Honda came out with the CBR900 RR and it stole the spotlight from all sport bikes. This is a capable 600CC sport bike. Looking at the miles and these photos it seems worth considering.

I can remember looking at these at Perrty Brothers Honda back in the day. They were such a big jump forward over the original Hurricane/Jelly mould 600 bikes. This thing won Cycle Mag bike of the year for years and years and year…but the price for this one is kind of stupid
Carbs “sinked” ????
Zero chance this guy is gonna get $6500 but one can dream. I owned a ’92 F2 and it was one of the most balanced and forgiving bikes I’ve ever had. I could push that thing so hard and it would often get me out of trouble. Really amazing bike, especially for it’s time.
$6500… That’s pretty funny.
Nice bike. $6500 for a Salvage title 600 is extremely optimistic.
Oops! We did not notice that detail. Great catch! Will check all the specs listed out next time.
