SELLER
1989 Honda Hawk GT NT650. Good condition. Serious inquiries only. No trades.
The Honda Hawk is a favorite on the site. Why? Because it is F-U-N.
Way back in 2015 Mike declared it a Cult Classic, “I’m sure you’ve heard it before… the term “cult classic” in reference to the Honda Hawk GT. So what makes something a cult classic? Well, usually it’s something that went unnoticed at first and consequently didn’t set any sales records, but as time passed, those willing to give it a chance soon discovered what a few already knew. In this case, it’s all about fun. I have been looking for a nice Hawk GT for a few years (and naturally one shows up when I’m broke) after riding one on the racetrack. It’s sort of like a two wheeled version of the Mazda Miata. It’s not fast… it’s not particularly good looking…. and yet, you’re smiling? Why is that? Well, what the Hawk GT lacked in power, it made up for in handling. In fact, the first picture that I ever saw of somebody dragging an elbow on the ground happened to be onboard a Hawk GT.”
If you are in Texas, you. might be up for some fun!
Good luck to the buyer and seller!
Agree this is a neat bike. I had one of its fraternal twins the honda CB-1 back in the 90s. Honda used to do really unconventional things back then. Magna 750, rc30, hawk, pacific coast. It was a different time. These are still unconventional. 3-valve head?!
this is in mybackyard in east houston down by nasa. Texas does not have the type of roads for this bike. But there is a racetrack an hour from clearlake… great thing about trackbikes is, no insurance, no registration, no annual safety inspection you only ride it the way it was designed to be savored, and no tickets.
