The 1985 Yamaha RZ500 is powered by a liquid 499cc two-stroke v4 along with a six speed transmission. The RZ500 is equipped with the Yamaha power valve system, removable seat cowl, and original steering damper ordered with the bike brand new.

Second owner and have owned the bike for the last 12 years.
Right side of mid fairing has a crack. Brand new never mounted original fairing included. I also have a complete fairing set purchased 12 years ago out of the uk was planning on going a different route but never did. Personally I believe the new set is 100times better than the original.
The stock exhaust system was taken off at 1,000km and replaced with a aftermarket option, the original exhaust system is included. As well as lots of spare parts that I can send more pictures of if you are interested.
Put on less than 1000km in 12 years, had many great ideas but its time to move on, bike has always been stored in a garage.
Ahhhhhh…. the smell of two stroke
We have seen quite a few 1985 Yamaha RZ500’s here on RSBFS over the years. According to Mike, “From a pricing perspective the big RZ is an ever-appreciating asset. The market has yet to top out on these, and we have seen them hovering just under – as well as over – the $20k mark for some time.” That was stated in May of 2023, less than a year ago.
