2006 Honda NSF100
I rarely have the answers but this time I do. The answer to what you may ask? Boredom. A mini moto, a parking lot, and some chalk will do more for you than anything that has every come across RSBFS. I know this because that exact formula has helped me pass many a hours… just sub the NSF for a Chinese sumo. I’m a bit more ragtag than most so the Chinesium was good enough but if you want to properly terrorize the neighborhood this should be your weapon of choice.
While these were designed to be a platform for the youth to cut their teeth on, this specific bike was used as a show piece at a Honda dealer when it was purchased in 2006. It remain stationed there until 2021 when it was acquired by the selling dealer in Florida. Neither party has actually set up the bike let alone start it. I have no idea how the owners resisted the urge…It’s not like much can go wrong. The fanciest component on this bike is the frame as it’s uncommon to see a twin spar frame on a bike of this size.
Despite the looks, this is no rocket. The 14K red line nets you 9 hp and if I’m sure about one thing, it’s that 9 hp isn’t nearly enough for you since you picked up a habit of disappearing double cheeseburgers in the parking lot on the way home from work. Don’t fret it too much. We’ve always got your back at RSBFS. That’s why you guys read us. We’ve found you another 20ccs and an upgraded valve train from BBR that will net you another 2 hp. Check out the kit here for only $350! BBR also recommends a 26mm big carb kit to help the motor breathe with the increased displacement. That’s big power for a bike that only weighs ~160lbs!
NSF100s don’t change hands all that often. Many are acquired and set on display similar to our find for the day. A similar zero-mile NSF sold for $6.5k in 2021. Bikes that have been well-loved transact in the $3-4k range. I’ll admit, this renders my argument for making this a parking lot weapon a bit tough to swallow from a financial standpoint. However, if you can assign a dollar value to the amount of fun you will have, I guarantee you the ROI will beat any sort of collector “investment” play.
The bid is currently at $1.8k with 4 days left at the time of writing. A link to the auction can be found here.

Sold for $8k. Congratulations to buyer and seller! -dc
The good news is my modest(?!) bid was not a winner. Nice (new old) bike.
It did promp me to reach out to my buddy to ask for the contact for the importer he used to bring in his 2020 NSF100 (also brand new) from Japan. I think he paid ~$6k all said and done.
Sanity check:
Reached out to Rick in Japan about importing a 2023 nsf100. At current exchange rates the bike is $3900 (before all the shipping and import fees). Seems the $ is strong vs yen exchange rates. So that price on BaT I think would be very hard to NOT beat.
Interesting! Thanks for the legwork! -dc
