1988 Kawasaki Ninja ZX10 1000 B1~13,300 miles
VIN JKAZXCB1XJA001267
Bike is very original and I am the second owner. Always garaged. No leaks.
Never wrecked, but it did fall over while warming up on the side-stand. This cracked the left panel below the seat (see pic). There is also a crack near the corner of the headlight (see pic). Both areas have been reinforced with fiberglass from the backside. Otherwise, the bike is in amazing shape for its age.
Parked in a climate-controlled garage.
Bike is ridden occasionally, so the mileage may change a bit.
Clean Louisiana title in seller’s name.
Kawasaki didn’t import many of these to the States. Check bringatrailer for a recent (May) comparable sale ($6,500 + 5% buyer’s premium).
Serious buyers are welcome to see it in person – Monroe, LA.
Preference is for the buyer to pick it up in person. If you want it shipped, you arrange it, and after payment clears, I’ll meet the transport with keys and a signed, notarized title.
Payment can be wired to my bank or we can meet at the bank for them to process cash (weekdays only).
Absolutely no joy rides and all sales are final.

not the tomcat bike, that was a zx900 I believe (might have been the 750 – but still this is an amazing machine, a great basis for a touring bike that isnt a barcolounger
Nice bike, but I’ve never heard of it being referred to as a ‘Tomcat’, same with the GPZ900. BTW apparently this model, although based on the previous gen, was slower than the original.
Found this on the inter webs: The Ninja ZX-10 (also called ZX-10 “Tomcat”) was a sport motorcycle manufactured by Kawasaki Motorcycles between 1988 and 1990,[3] part of the Kawasaki Ninja line. With a top speed of 165 miles per hour (266 km/h), it was the fastest production motorcycle in 1988.

I think I’m mixing up this model with the previous GPZ1000, anyway, that model apparently was the first to reach 160 MPH.
I just recently sold a 1990 “Tomcat” ZX-10. Bike was a great cruiser with plenty of powa’. Cold use a brake upgrade though. Them rotors are small and the bike hits a ton (100) really quick.
