Thinning The Herd: 1993 Bimota DB2
It’s hotter than hell, our government and lead themselves out of a paper bag and that money you had in stocks to buy your next toy: well it just got a little smaller. The one bright spot of the week for me was seeing this very tidy Bimota DB2 for sale. I’ve seen a couple of bikes listed over the months from this seller and they all have been very low mile and extremely clean. He is apparently still thinning his herd out so opportunity awaits.
This one keeps up with the tradition. It is almost spotless and has only seen 5866 miles of pavement. Have we ever had a high mile Bimota? I’m starting to think they turn into pumpkins if you go over 10,000 miles.
Elegant and simple. I don’t consider the DB2 as one of Bimota’s more envelope pushing designs but you can still tell it is a Bimota. Fit and finish is flawless.
Italian frame and an Italian engine, what isn’t to like? If the love bug has just struck you and you aren’t familiar with the DB2 here is a solid read.
Up for auction is a 1993 Bimota DB2. I am selling this for my Dad who is selling his collection. This bike does come with a free and clear title.
The condition of the bike is great but is does have very light wear from 5,866 miles of use. There is a small tear on the bottom part of the seat (shown in pictures). The cylinder studs have been upgraded. It has a performance exhaust upgrade. The wheels have been painted gold for looks (stock color is white).
There is obviously some interest in the auction with the number of bids but where is that pesky reserve? Hopefully it is somewhere around $10,000. That seems to be the sweet spot that DB2’s have been selling in. Make it yours here.

He painted the wheels gold for looks? ugh… the oem white would be soooooooooo much nicer………
[…] that is currently being sold. You might recognize some other bikes from the collection such as this Bimota DB2 currently for sale and the Ducati 851 SP3 that sold on eBay last […]
had a chuckle at the comment that Bimotas dont do high miles , my one owner Db2 have done over 85000 kms , lots of touring around , weekend blasts , track days etc & it hasnt stopped yet
Bill, you have got your money’s worth out of that DB2.
