I am already layering on the Nomex suit, because I know the flames will be coming in full force. I might even shower in gasoline and hand you the match to light me up. It does pain me a little to bring you this bike because the Diavel is a little ridiculous and it is brand new. However, I feel compelled as it does wear an AMG badge and it is a limited edition bike. You can bet that you won’t see any Ducati rocking the Mercedes AMG moniker anytime soon after being acquired by Audi.
Ducati partnered with AMG back in 2010, and the MotoGP squad could be seen sporting the logo on their bikes. All that changed earlier this year when Audi purchased Ducati and you can see why the Ducati/AMG partnership quickly dissolved. Shortly before change of ownership, Ducati and AMG teamed up to produce this flagship Diavel. I honestly didn’t think many of these would see the light of day after the Audi deal, and thus why I feel obligated to acknowledge this bike.
You can bet there won’t be huge sales of the Diavel AMG because its limited quantities… and it’s a Diavel. I can almost guarantee this will translate to uber rare status in the future. If you are attemting to amass the ultimate Ducati collection, then there should be a place for the Diavel AMG. That place could be a dimly lit corner of a garage to hide it in, but there still should be a place. You can jump over to the ad here and pick this thing up for MSRP today.

Negative points for the bike JS (although I am guilty of writing up both a Harley XLCH & a XR1000). This thing just might make a bitchin trike if you were into those things.
+5 for the title….but I would still keep the fire extinguisher handy. 🙂
Thanks Mike! Got to take some risks sometimes. I am sure a very constructive debate will be sparked by this. 😉
Fire extinguisher ready to go…
