This seller in Colorado has a great looking GSX-R 750 for sale that is listed as restored. Unfortunately there are no additional details. In the specifics of the eBay listing it shows just under 6800 miles and on the dealer’s website it displays a $8999 asking price. As I go over all the pictures I have to say it’s in remarkable shape, but looks more refreshed than restored.

I am almost positive that this bike is being sold by Fay Myers motorcycles. I They also had a Honda NR and a Ducati Supermon on display and carry a big selection of hondas, aprilia and other good stuff. KIND OF DISCLAIMER: Fay Myers is in CO and I bought a bike from them over the summer and they were really good to deal with long distance (I live in TX).
That’s the place. Good to hear that kind of feedback too.
Thanks,
dc
I think that tail section, chain guard, and maybe the muffler bracket are from an ’86 Limited Edition. Maybe the buyer will get lucky…?
The side panels have been cut down
Nice bike tho..
maybe it is a limited tail
In ’86 I was 13, too young for one of these beasts. But my dad had one in the same colors as this one. I was in love with it. It made everything else, even the other ‘sport’ bikes, look like standards. Still love these early gsxrs, GOT to get one (or two). Ok, I’m going to go rob a bank now, wish me luck!
It has the optional from Suzuki in 86, LTD tail section, LTD heal plates, LTD exhaust bracket and LTD chain guard. It also looks to be a Cali model. The wheels have also been painted gloss black but all in all a nice bike.
This bike is not to factory spec it is a hodge podge of 86 GSXR G and LTD ED. THis bike is not worth anywhere near what they are asking unless it has the orignal G parts with it. They tried to make a LTD ED knock off. And its not even close to a full resto its a half assed clean up. The plastics have stress marks all over! Nice try!
PS There is part of the Vin shown on the EBAY listing and it is absolutely a G model. This is clearly someone trying to pass this off as a factory correct restored bike and its not even close. Worth about $3k for parts!
