Here’s a great looking NC30 that is a welcomed breathe of fresh air from all the two smokers we’ve been seeing on the market this spring. This one has clearly been loved by it’s current owner as evidenced by his 2+ page description of the bike. It comes with OEM and spare bodywork, thoughtful upgrades like the VFR800 rear wheel and modified CDI, and is overall mostly stock. -dc

Wow what a great example.. I’d just find some headlight rubber surrounds since it looks like they’re missing. You shouldn’t be able to see in-between the headlight and the cowl. It makes it nicer to ride at night with those on. Some black OEM bar ends would look better too. Also a 17 digit vin doesn’t make it that much easier to register in CA.. You’ll most likely have your work cut out for you without an emissions label and a VIN stamped US federal label.
nice…very nice.
@Colin – Since these were petitioned to be imported a while back, you’ll have no problems registering it in CA even without the emissions label and the short VIN. When you go to title it initially they’ll see many others are already registered in CA database and they shouldn’t give you too much grief (at least they didn’t with my RVF400 when I registered it in CA).
Alan,, The last owner of my RVF400 had to go to the CHP and DMV offices 2 or 3 times each before he was able to get it registered, It was a major PITA, and I ended up losing my out of state title on my NC29 when I went to get my CHP inspection,, that also sucked. On the other hand, I know a couple people that registered theirs with ease. It depends on who you get at the DMV.
this is so true. I got lucky when registering my rg500 in Cali, it could have gone the other way if the guy I was dealing with at the dmv was not cool. He knew exactly what the RG was and let me know he was doing me a favor.
If I had 7500 free I would drop it on this in a second.
Whats the difference between an NC30 and NC35 besides the front forks?
I also have an 89 NC30 that I restored and its a fantastic machine, so much so that I prefer it to my RC30. I your honest opinion boys how many NC30’s do you think are on the road and titled in the US?
Nice bike, though I rather spend more money and get a JDM RG400
the right side lower HONDA decal is wrong, it should be navy blue and curved or can easily compare it to the left side, ( so much for being original ) rotor carriers on an 1989 are suppose to be gold, having own a NC30 for 24 years, its impossible
to claim an original that doesn’t have rock chips on he lowers or the mid “V” panel, with time the plastic becomes brittle and breaks at the bottom connection
Gary that could be the Chinese bodywork. He says he has OEM fairings and similar Chinese copies.
