Chuck Graves’ kitted 1995 GSXR1100
I’ll admit right off the top here, I’d love to get my hands on some of the kit bits on this thing. I’m a sucker for hard to find race parts and it looks like this GSXR has more than a few, and some pricey ones at that. The kit aluminum tank, kit transmission and those carbs were all definitely big ticket items back in the day. Granted these aren’t current race parts but for those of us that still live in the 90’s, like me, this might be a really fun bike to play with. It might be a nice project to restore it back to its’ original race glory. I don’t think you’d have to spend any money getting more power out of the engine with it pumping out 175hp either.
The seller states:
WAY TOO MUCH TO LIST1 1995 Suzuki GSXR 1100 Fully Built! 175 HP to the ground!….This was piloted by the great Chuck Graves of Graves Yamaha in 1995. (See the photo..This is the actual bike with Chuck Graves Riding it!) The new owner will get a copy of the magazine with documentation of the bike! The best of everything is on this bike and yes it is STUPID FAST (175hp at the rear wheel!!!). Kit aluminum gas tank , Kit 6sp transmission , Kit sub frame , PM Chicane wheels and more. The carburetors on this bike were imported by Team Yoshimura Suzuki for 6mo and had a price tag of $6000 for the rack and that is just 1 item on a bike that is FULL of trick kit parts!
They are asking $8500 for the bike and it has been listed on Craigslist in Atlanta for some time. I’ve seen this before where an older bike is loaded with quality parts and the seller wants to get the money out of those parts but the average guy is not willing to pay, say $8500 for a 1995 GSXR. Maybe it’s worth a call to the right buyer to see what you could negotiate. It isn’t everyday you find a bike loaded with genuine kit parts and more than enough horsepower to get you into serious trouble.
