Bimota down under! Bimota YB11 for sale in Australia.

Bimota YB11 with Yamaha YZF1000 Thunder Ace engine for sale in Australia.

I surely wasn’t expecting to find this many Bimotas for sale, but right after posting the Tesi 3D, I found two other Bimota listings on ebay.  I already posted the SB6R that was “stranded’ in Europe and here’s the other listing – a YB11 in Australia.

First registered 2003.  Excellent condition, few stone chips around headlight.  Near new tyres. New chain and sprockets. Braided brake lines.  Reg to 14/07/11.  Yamaha 1000 Thunderace motor with Bimota Magic added.  A very fast, good handling motorcycle.  Original Owners Manual. Original Bimota Key Fob and work shop manual included.

S.W.M.B.O. says :Too many toys” so the baby goes – Happy Wife, Happy Life!

Will ship anywhere in the world at buyers cost.  All assistance will be given.

While the bike might have been first registered in 2003, the YB11 was produced from 1996~1998.  Judging from the chassis (or VIN) number, this bike appears to be #473 manufactured.  There were approximately only 650 YB11s made, so #473 would place this as a later production model, probably a 1997.

Of the YB series, the most famous of them would be the YB4 when it won the F1 Championship (the predecessor to the current WSBK series) back in 1987.  Of course, the YB11 has come a long way since the YB4, but it still features many design details and innovations that are indicative of Bimota’s thinking – the first production bike to use 51mm diameter forks, adjustable rake via eccentric bushes in the steering headstock.

The YB11 is definitely not the most famous of the YB series (nor of all Bimota models) nor the prettiest, but would be a good introduction to Bimota ownership or make a good addition to any Bimota collection.
