It MUST be Spring – just look at all of the great bikes available right now. Riding season is here in many places across the US, and just around the corner in others. And when the question “what shall I ride today?” comes up might I suggest a totally retro Superbike such as the original model release GSX-R750? Simultaneously re-defining what a sport bike should be all about while carving a new and ongoing niche into the performance record books, Suzuki produced a literal and figurative winner.
1986 Suzuki GSX-R750 for sale on eBay
From the seller:
Up for bid is my 1986 GSX-R750, I am the third owner of this bike and have had it for more than 10 years. Please note that this GSX-R is an original surviving piece of motorcycling history, not something pieced together from eBay purchased parts. All the bodywork is factory Suzuki. Aside from the Yoshimura pipe (which sounds great by the way) and the braided Stainless Steel clutch line, this bike is in factory stock condition. I have changed a few bolt-on parts around, but the bike comes with all the stock pieces to make it totally original (except for the exhaust pipe which the original owner replaced and I don’t have).
The seller has included tons of details in the auction description, including all of the stock and non-stock parts included with the sale. There is an impressive collection of spare bodywork as well. Think of this as a classic GSX-R750 with a mini parts department thrown in for good measure. Keep in mind that this bike is pushing against the 30 year old barrier – finding museum pieces can be nearly impossible. This is a well-loved example that shows well. Check it out!

Still one of my favorite color combos!
