1999 Yamaha YZF-R7 OW02 For Sale in Ohio with Just 1,000 Miles!

Here's an awesome collector quality example of the highly sought after OW02 R7. Just 500 of these specially homologated examples exist worldwide and only a couple surface for sale each year. Produced specifically for World Superbike racing, these didn't originally sell with street titles. But with headlights and signals stock, many found their way to the street and this one appears to wear Ohio plates as well.

1999 Yamaha YZF-R7 OW02 for sale on eBay

from the seller's listing:

JYARM0112XA000391

The bike is in excellent mechanical and cosmetic condition with only 1,648 Kilometers (1,024 Miles). Still has the original Pirelli tires.

The Yamaha YZF-R7 OW02 is a race homologation motorcycle of limited production run of only 500 units. It was designed to compete in the Superbike World Championship and Suzuka 8 Hours endurance races.

Only 50 R7's were imported to the US. 10 were used by Yamaha's factory race team.

The R7 was built for racing it was derived from information and geometry from the YZR500 machines of the period. The R7 came with Ohlins suspension components and with titanium valves, titanium rods, a shortened Deltabox II frame and dry weight of just 189 kg (416 lb).

YEC kit parts included:
Carbon fiber airbox
Velocity stacks
Throttle and cables
Fuel pump
Fuel regulator
Misc parts
I have all the OEM parts. This R7 has had the crank recall done.

All fluids have been changed.

Included is the factory owner/service manual, YEC kit manual, parts manual and both keys.

Searching our archives for previous OW02 examples posted on our site shows the greatest concern is the "crank recall", which this seller notes has been been done and should reassure the next owner. Considering how quickly earlier homologation specials are gaining in value, $35k sounds about right. Good luck to buyers and seller!

A Couple Hours Remaining on Memorial Day: 1990 Honda RC30 in Costa Mesa

Just a quick post to keep an eye on this Honda VFR750R currently on eBay. We've seen this one come up on Craigslist several times but it's the first time in my memory that it's been on eBay. Current bid is $25,600 reserve not met and just a couple hours left.

1990 Honda RC30 for sale on eBay

from the seller:

What you have here for your consideration is a 1990 Honda RC30 VFR750R homologation race bike of which only 300 were imported into the USA to make eligible to race.
This bike was not built at the Honda factory instead it was hand made at the Hamamatsu HRC race plant and for it's time was an amazing thing to behold with honeycomb frame, multiple magnesium parts and specialties to make it lighter along with the single side swing arm which was a 1st in the industry along with the high revving V4 gear driven cam engine that red lines at 12500 on 49 state models.
The bike has been serviced with all fluids changed, new battery and new tires and has a clean title only covering 6900 miles and also has a lot of HRC parts including exhaust system, carb cooler tray, radiator, temp gauge along with other internals and also has marvic wheels so you can run decent rubber which it has new tires on.
The bike was serviced a while back and has sat since and needs to be run.
You don't see these once in a blue moon or an eternity so here is your chance to own the fabled Honda RC30 to add to your collection.

We hope you're enjoying the long Memorial Day weekend, and thanks to all Veterans for your service!

1993 Honda CBR900RR in Highly Desirable Red, White, and Blue

Gary in Utah is back with another stunner in this 93 900RR with just over 10k miles. His ad states it's a reverse import as it is a U.S. spec bike that was imported to Japan and now back in Utah. As with most of the bikes he has sold from his collection, this one shows very well.

1993 Honda CBR900RR for sale on eBay

Back in 1993, the 750cc class was king of the sales chart and Yamaha, Kawasaki, Suzuki all battled it out on the streets and in dealerships to have the best 750cc bike. Meanwhile Honda seemed content to play more in the sport touring segment with its excellent VFR750. But what almost no one outside Honda knew was that Honda was developing a bike that would scramble all the segments and eventually cause most manufacturers to exit the 750cc segment. That bike was the the Honda CBR900RR/"Fireblade".

Formally launched in late in 1992 and appearing in dealerships in 1993, the new 900cc Honda was simply astonishing; sized like a 750cc, powered like a 1000cc, and only a few pounds heavier than a 600cc. (Note: the CBR900RR was 75 pounds lighter than the Yamaha FZR1000, 114 pounds lighter than the Suzuki GSX-R1100 and an astonishing 144 pounds lighter than the Kawasaki ZX-11).

from the seller:

Up for auction is a gorgeous 1993 Honda CBR900RR with only 16,962 kilometers (10,540 miles). Bike is almost in mint condition except for a few scratches in the red decal on the left side gas tank and a few handling marks, However, this CBR is ultra clean. No dents in the tank, no cracks in the plastic, no scratches in the muffler, no scratches on the engine covers, no rips in the seats and no rust. Bike has been very well cared for. I imported this bike last year from Japan. It is a reverse import. (U.S. spec bike that was imported to Japan). All fairings are 100% OEM factory Honda. The white color in the lower fairings have been professionally re-sprayed. The lower and mid fairings along with the fuel tank have been professionally re-cleared to bring out the glossy color and bring back the new appearance. Bike has new OEM mirrors and new OEM turn signals to give the bike that new showroom look. (Original mirrors and turn signals come with the sale). Also installed, new OEM grips and bar ends. Also included with the sale is a Vance & Hines SS2R slip on muffler. The bike looks like a million bucks and is correct right down to every nut and bolt. Bike runs like new. Just serviced with new fluids, new fuel filter, new battery and new Bridgestone Battlax tires. Comes with Utah state title.

Featured Listing: 1990 Ducati 750 Sport

Update 8.13.2018: Price reduced to $5,150. Good luck to buyers and seller! -dc

In the period between the wizardry of the 851 and the imagination-capturing Supersport models of the 1990s, the Ducati 750 Sport slotted in to keep people buying. It was really an evolution of the mid-80s' 750 F1, and took cues from that bike and the larger, more controversial Paso.

This 1990 Ducati 750 Sport has been lightly modified under the current owner's stewardship. The list of new parts, repairs and tasteful mods is long and inspiring, and shows that the bike was meant to be enjoyed as if it was 1990 all over again.

Though it was something of a stripped-down entry level bike when new, the 750 Sport got 75 horses out of a 750cc air-cooled Desmodue, and with very little weight to push around it made short work of whatever road you aimed it at.
