When I first spotted this one on eBay I thought it was a relist of the Supermono we posted earlier this year, but this is #14. Doug posted this one back in 2010 actually when it was listed on eBay UK. The #33 bike that sold in June went for a cool $125k. This auction is just getting warmed up, but at least you have an idea of how much you’ll need to take this one home!

Ducati Supermono for sale on eBay
from the seller:
Ducati 570cc Supermono
model year 1995
number 14/1995
Probably the only brand new and unused Supermono in the world and it’s one of the very last models being one of the 25 1995 models with the 572cc engine, it’s a known bike to us and spent its life in the hands of just two collectors it’s never been ridden, modified or messed with in any way, not even nver started, there is as you can see some paint cracking due to age shrinkage on the original carbon fibre fairing panel but other than that is perfect and as it left Ducati, a truly unique opportunity.
Bulletproof investment.
Bike is currently located in Italy, 33080 Roveredo in Piano (Pordenone) but i can get them delivered all around the World at cost, no problem.
Would be lovely to own, buts it’s an expensive bike when you consider you can’t ride it own the Road and it’s too dear (and precious) for the track!
Would I take 1 of these over a Desmo and a Superleggera? Maybe, the good thing about not being able to afford one, I don’t have to worry about such hard decisions.
I would love to see and hear one in person though.
Up to $55,100 with 9 days left… It makes be wonder what the most expensive bike is that has ever graced the pages of RSBFS? That $125,000 Supermono mentioned in the post?
What a shame to see bikes like this never ridden. If I had the money, I’d buy it, ride the hell out of it and enjoy every moment. You can’t take it with you, as they say.
Or do what Dr. Mark Stewart did, owner of the $125,000 one (reserve not met). Owns or owned TWO Supermonos, one for the track and one never used and put away (the eBay bike). Problem solved! I’ve seen him ride his Britten at Grattan, so that one’s a rider.
That’s the problem you pay crazy money because it has 0 miles and if you chose to ride as it was intended the value goes down.
It’s up to $137K! Holy crapoly that’s big money.
It’s still got almost 7 days to go and it’s already that high.
Where will it end up?
Appears to be a bidding war going on between two bidders. The sellers got to love that but the reserve hasn’t been met. This makes the bidding for Laverda Jota on Classic Sport Bikes For Sale look like chump change!
