Some sellers write a novel. This one wrote house rules. Price is firm, don’t ask for the best price, and the photo gallery is closed. Want to see more? Get in the truck.
Two photos and a hard “no” on more isn’t much to go on for a 38-year-old bike. My first thought was scam. But scammers don’t invite you over to look, so this is probably just a seller who’s done answering messages.
The ZX-10 was a big deal in its day. It was Kawasaki’s new flagship superbike when it launched in 1988, and its most significant feature was Kawasaki’s first twin-spar aluminum frame, which explains why “E-BOX FRAME” is printed right on the fairing. An American magazine clocked a full-power ZX-10 at 168 mph, making it the world’s fastest production bike at the time. Hagerty took a well-preserved one out and came away calling it more sport-tourer than superbike. Worth a read if you want the full story.
The two photos we do get look clean. Red and black paint, graphics intact, two owners, and 5,600 miles on a liter bike from 1988.
For a recent comp, a 1988 ZX-10 with 5,315 miles, sold by its original owner, went for $6,527 on Iconic Motorbike Auctions in May 2026.
Would you make the drive on two photos and a firm price? And who had one of these back in the day?
Good luck to the buyer and seller!

This appears to be a very minty, unmolested example.
If it was near me, I would drive to look at it.
