This 2006 Yamaha YZF-R1 is a 50th Anniversary Edition that remained with its original owner, who rode it just 273 miles, until it was purchased by the selling dealer in 2026. It is finished in a Kenny Roberts-inspired yellow, black, and white livery and is powered by a 998cc DOHC inline-four linked to a six-speed transmission. The motorcycle is equipped with a four-into-two exhaust system, an aluminum twin-spar frame, adjustable suspension, an aluminum swingarm, 17″ wheels, and triple disc brakes with radial-mount front calipers as well as rear-set foot controls, clip-on handlebars, digital and analog gauges, a rider saddle, and a passenger pillion. This R1 is now offered at no reserve by the selling dealer with a clean Texas title.

One owner. Twenty years. 273 miles. Somebody bought an R1 in speed block yellow and then mostly just looked at it.
Check the photos. The factory key tag is still on the key. The stock fender and plate hanger are still hanging off the tail. No eliminator kit, no tinted screen, no frame sliders. A mid-2000s liter bike that never met an aftermarket catalog is half the story here.
For the purists already typing: yes, this is the standard 50th Anniversary, not the LE. No Öhlins, no gold Marchesinis. Yamaha only built 500 of those.
For reference, a 3,064-mile example sold on Iconic Motorbike Auctions in August 2023 for $10,807.
So who’s putting mile 274 on it?
Good luck to the buyer and seller!
