Three days ago William found one of these with over 10k miles, listed for $10,995. And even though it was only 3 days ago, I enjoyed reading it again. If you enjoy watching the market, what do you think this crated EBR is worth?
If you missed William’s post –
“One could be forgiven for not immediately knowing the name Erik Buell. While he has been around motorcycling for decades, his innovative designs have never been made in huge quantities. Those that did get produced under the Harley/Buell branding have been plagued by poor marketing and generally misunderstood for what they are. What you cannot be excused for is glossing over how interesting his machines are once you take a second to examine the details.
This EBR 1190RX was made and sold directly by Erik. After splitting from Harley (an amazing story that should be a movie one day) he launched his own company. These bikes still had a V twin, but no longer of Harley heritage. These new engines packed much more power and performance
The specifications rivaled anything else on the road. Period road tests seemed to universally praise the handling. It does not take long to sport some rather interesting departures from the normal. Take the huge single front rotor for example.
The price point on these is very approachable. Even more so when you start thinking about the real performance, rarity and interesting story. These have all the hallmarks of a future classic..”
Good luck to the buyer and seller!
