2003 APRILIA RSV R COLIN EDWARDS REPLICA 2500 Miles
Ah, another race replica. As I’ve said before I’m just a sucker for these things. Maybe I just like colorful things! Maybe it’s just the wanna be in me. I hadn’t payed close attention to the RSVR replica’s when they came out but I should have: Aprilia really gave you a nice package. Much more than just flashy graphics (which please me so much). Compared to the standard RSVR you got Ohlins suspension, Akrapovic exhaust, different air box, larger throttle bodies and some carbon fiber. That’s quite a nice package of goodies compared to some of the “limited editions” the Japanese companies have put out lately.
The seller states:
THIS BIKE IS VERY NEAR PERFECT. THERE IS A SCRATCH ON THE REAR WHEEL AS CAN BE SEEN IN THE PICS AND THAT IS ABOUT IT. IT HAS BEEN RIDDEN, BUT IT HAS BEEN EXTREMELY WELL KEPT. I HAVE A LOT OF THE ORIGINAL MANUALS, ETC. THAT GO WITH THE BIKE. THE BIKE RUNS VERY, VERY STRONG AND SOUNDS INCREDIBLE! IT NEEDS NOTHING. THE TIRES ARE STILL IN GOOD CONDITION TOO. THERE WERE VERY FEW OF THESE EDWARDS REPLICAS BROUGHT INTO THE USA (50 I BELIEVE). I HAVE ONLY SEEN 3 OF THEM. I BOUGHT ONE NEW IN 2004, I HAVE SEEN THE ONE THAT COLIN EDWARDS DONATED TO BARBER’S MOTORSPORTS MUSEUM, AND THIS ONE! DON’T MISS YOUR CHANCE TO OWN A BEAUTIFUL WORK OF ART AND A SURE COLLECTIBLE.
One thing I forgot was this is actually a replica of Colin Edwards’ RS3 Cube not a super bike like the Haga Replica of a year earlier. Too bad it didn’t get the Cubes’ engine too! I do have one question for Aprilia. Why the heck did they skimp on the “Alice” graphic? That big hole drives me crazy. It is still a pretty bike in my book though. If you are so inclined the bidding as already begun on and the reserve has not been met.
