2002 Triumph Daytona 955i Centennial Edition in IL
Here is something a little different. 1 of 200 made. The CE edition differs from the standard 955i in several ways:
Aston Green color which is was only availabe on the CE
Some carbon bits including a hugger and tank inlays
Single sided swing arm
Forged steel crankshaft and connecting rods and forged aluminum pistons. Result is more hp compared to the standard 955i
This might be a nice opportunity to pick up a limited edition bike with some nice upgrades at a very reasonable price. The seller is asking $4700 and the bike is listed on Craigslist.

Re CE Triumph Daytona. You forgot to mention that the frame was a little different to the standard ’02 model. It had a slightly steeper steering head, by about half a degree. This made the steering a little more Japanese and a little less Italian….Yeah, I know its a Brit. But how do you quantify British steering??
…….Sorry, I should have said “…qualify British steering.”
Also, the ‘modified’ engine was standard in the ’03 models.
(although being old and forgetful, I could be wrong on this point.)
Warren,
Thanks for the info. I admit I had never heard of the CE edition before so it’s all new to me.
