Let’s start Monday with a bang: Here’s a stunning F4 with just 5700 miles for a mere $6599 buy-it-now! While I realize these were never class leaders, there is no denying the eyeball appeal that these bikes carry. The early F4’s have always been good value in recent years, and this example with it’s miles and price look very tempting indeed.

2000 MV Agusta F4 for sale on eBay
from the seller:
I purchased in 2006 from the original owner who had kept her in a temperature-controlled garage since 2000. I purchased with 156 miles on odometer. Now has 5663 miles. Oil was changed, fresh tires installed and had the wheels powder-coated silver to match the later models (starting in 2003) and the 1000cc F4 later on. Plate on triple clamp says #100 in USA.
Upgrades are almost all cosmetic except the addition of an STM clutch slave cylinder. Much better response than stock. Also added Fast by Ferraci clip-on risers. Don’t really raise them up as much as angle them better. This was an early modification; the stock angle puts too much pressure on wrist and is an odd angle for longer rides. Also aides in preventing smashed thumbs against tank at full-lock, which this bike stock does. Also swapped linkage for side stand to prevent auto-raising. Added heavier bar-end weights to minimize numb hands- something else the stock bike does. Mounted F41000 foot pegs for additional adjustability.
Cosmetically, carbon fiber air-duct overs, front fender, exhaust guards, and tank sides. Aluminum reservoir covers. Paint is very clean with only a scratch here and there and a small paint defect in rear seat unit, barely deductible. Was looked after very well. Email for specifics if needed.
Genuine Alcantara suede saddle. Paddock stand included as well.
Also added a cleaner aftermarket license plate kit to locate further under seat and clean up turn signals with LED units inside the rear vents. All original turn signals and license plate mount are included and can easily be returned to stock condition. Also the original turn signal relay.
Bike was freshly lubed and oil-changed last summer w/ full synthetic racing oil. Currently has just over 5600 miles. That’s it. Like I said- doesn’t get out much. Probably due some fresh rubber soon. Brakes are solid. Chain, too. Bike has never been down. Ever.
I love this bike to death. I just find myself with less time to ride than before. Would keep her in my living room if my wife would allow it; this bike is a true piece of history and an art form all by itself.
What it isn’t, is a Japanese sport bike that always works and is boring to look at. Needs some TLC from time to time. See aforementioned STM slave cylinder. It’s a very rewarding owner and riding experience. With probably typical Italian maintenance issues. Occasionally, something stops working. Price of begin an MV owner. The rewards are everything and very time you ride.
I wish u would start up a rareeuropeansportbikesforsale.com so I wouldn’t have to filter through all the Ducatis, Bimotas, & this MV bull$hit when looking for a bike. And start a rare2strokesportbikesforsale.com while you are at it since that makes up 50% of the crap that is put on here.
Looks like somebody’s retaining a little water today.
I think some sand might be up there as well.
+1, good one.
Nah, no sand in any orifices and I remembered my water pill this AM, Just calling ’em as I see ’em.
An MV at this price is pretty rare, and it’s refreshing to see a seller realistic about what the market will bear if you actually want to sell one…this year. What exactly is Jolly Joe looking for that he hasn’t seen at RSBFS? I would say that there has been a fairly decent mix here recently. Just my $0.02
I’m with Joe on this one. What this site could really use are more UJMs
Hondanighthawkforsale.com anyone?
Let’s not forget that the staff of RSBFS have no control over what is on the market for sale or when. All they can do is post what is available at that time. As they see fit. I think they do a great job of that. The last time I checked they weren’t charging readers to access the site. Maybe when you come across a bike you think is rare, you could send them an email with a link to the ad. Be a positive contributor instead of sideline whiner. Just a thought.
Now that’s the spirit! Water pills for everybody!
Of course they aren’t charging to access the site, and why should they? Without us accessing the site there would be no advertisement. It’d be like Auto Trader charging you to browse their site! Trust me, RSFS isn’t running the site just for fun and our entertainment. They are making money you can be sure of that.
Ahhhh… This is more serious than I suspected. Nurse !?!,…Would you bring the enema bottle in here please?
Wait a second, are you telling me that these guys look for interesting motorcycles and get paid? Say it ain’t so Joe! What’s next, no Easter Bunny?
If you don’t like what they post on this site, maybe you could do a better job finding what you’re looking for on your own. Oh, that would take time and time is money, soooo…..
since this post there has been a big triumph daytona and a classic yamaha….they can only post what they find on the web or what gets sent into them…if you want to see more varied stuff then do some browsing and when ya find something cool send it on in. Also you can use the menu at the top of the screen to filter what you see…
cheers
Wow…it i had the extra cash I’d love to have this.If any one is serious about this I only live 20 miles away from Scottsdale.I can check it out if needed, just let me know…
Umm let’s do the mat here boys : Ducatis , yes I will agree thwere are a fair pile MVs……yeah ….not so much . So why are people bitching and whining about it ! It’s a Sportbike , right ?? Me a HOnda V-FOur guy . But I have a sweet spot for MVs (modern ones more) and of course the Aprilia RSV-4 . So nearly as they said on Hill Street Blues : ” Let’s get out there and enjoy them !” Bring a little positive light into it boys . Got to enjoy life day by day .
There will be plenty of time to be depressed when the FEMA teams start rounding up ordinary tax-paying US citizens for their work camps . Smell the wind people….it’s coming !
Wow – can’t believe this bike is still for sale. Somebody pull the trigger, for the love of God, before I have to!
My thoughts exactly. I emailed him about a trade but he wants to sell outright.

Someone pull the trigger on this bike while you still can before the Gov’t pulls the trigger on us ! Enjoy life while we still own our own possessions . Buy this bike !
I think RSBFS does a great job, I usually just look at the 2 strokes, gammas my favorite. I would consider this MV, the look is awesome, would love to ride it, also really like the Aprilia RSV4, which is 5 miles an hour faster than my RG500.
Wow Jimbo, I had no idea RSV4’s were that slow.
In all seriousness though, what makes an MV so special (other than the name and single sided swingarm) over any run of the mill Japanese inline 4 sportbike? I mean we have had Yamahas with factory Ohlins suspensions, Suzuki GSXRs now come with Brembo brakes, etc etc.
Well let’s see…, first, the design. While maybe slightly less earth shattering than the 916 penned by the same man, it was and still is a beautiful machine. Where else (other than aftermarket imitation on Japenese inline fours) have you seen the quad underseat exhaust? How about production numbers? Yes, (special edition) Yamahas have had Ohlins, and current Suzooks have Brembos, but that wasn’t happening 13+ years ago. Point is, this is a great price for a desirable bike, you can disagree, but you’re wrong;)
I can see this being a good buy. I get that part. but guess I’m not seeing the allure with the F4.. If you took the name badges and single sided swingarm off it could be mistaken for any other inline 4 sportbike. Nothing revolutionary looking about it. Well, I guess the pentastar wheels might look unique. 4 into 4 pipes have been around since the sandcast CB750’s (and I’m sure long before that.)
You know what TrumptiteAntBite, you’re right! If you did take away the single sided swingarm, the 4 into 4 underseat exhaust, the name badges, the monopost tail, and the pentastar wheels, there really isn’t anything desirable about it. Tell you what, the day that RSBFS posts an MV the way you describe, then you will have a leg to stand on. The reason you might confuse it with any other inline 4 is result of the those bike’s designs imitating the wildly popular Italian form of the mid-late ’90’s. I’m not saying 4 into 4 is new, it is the execution of it that stands out, the same way so many things did on those great Hondas. Nor is a mono tail anything new, or terribly unusual, but I can’t think of a single bike that had one from the factory that hasn’t been featured on this site at some point in time. You don’t have to like the MV, I couldn’t care less but to take the position that there is nothing separating it from any run-of-the-mill inline 4 is simple hubris.
