This 2000 Ducati 996S is said to have spent time on static display in California before it was acquired by the seller in 2021. Finished in red and white with carbon-fiber accents, the motorcycle is powered by a 996cc Desmoquattro L-twin paired with a six-speed transmission. Equipment includes a clear windscreen, a monoposto tail section, an aluminum single-sided swingarm, Termignoni under-tail mufflers, an aftermarket ECU tuning chip, an adjustable Showa fork, an Öhlins monoshock, Marchesini 17″ alloy wheels, and triple disc brakes with Brembo calipers. Reported recommissioning work performed in June 2023 involved adding fluids and replacing various fuel system components. This 996S shows 132 miles and is now offered with an owner’s manual, a tool kit, a removed fuel tank sensor, two keys, and a clean Georgia title in the seller’s name.
A badge atop the upper triple clamp identifies the bike as #245 of approximately 580 996S models imported to the US between 1999 and 2001.
In the past 15 years, RSBFS has posted 4 of these 2000 Ducait 996S bikes. Back in 2017 we featured one that was in excellent shape selling for $7,500 with 4123 miles. Fast forward to today and this one with only 132 miles…
