First year for the 1000 Ninja.
Before it was put in storage several years ago put on new tires, chain and sprockets. Not perfect but really good condition with 23,653 miles. Will need a battery. $4400 or best offer.

While working a job in Manhattan I walked across town on my lunch break to see one of these beauties in the showroom at Camrod Motors on 57th and 12th. I knew that I’d be late getting back to work, but I had to see this model in person. The “1000R” on the lower is my favorite detail.
This model was only available for 2 years before transforming into the ZX10 Tomcat.

If this bike wasn’t so gosh darn far away I’d go look at it, but 5 1/2 hours one way is a bit much. 23k and change on the clocks isn’t what I’d call low, but it ain’t bad either for a nearly 40 year oldbike. At $4400 or best offer, that’s a price of admission thats hard to turn down. That and its a great opportunity actually see what yesterday’s superbikes were really like, even with the aftermarket pipe this appears to be a relatively intact bike. Only a closer inspection will tell. Biggest issue with this era bike is the gas tank, if it hasn’t been stored or maintained it’ll rust thru just think’in about it. So if ya wanna ride a mid 80’s red and black two wheeled ICBM, here’s your opportunity.
