Nice 1986 Suzuki GSX-R GAG50 on Ebay

Just like weeds in the Spring, the little 50’s seem to be popping up for sale right now. Better known as the GSXR50 here in the States, the GAG50 was the Japanese home market version. It included all the running gear to make the bike street legal. Could someone actually see you on one of these things over the hood of their car? I don’t know if you could get me out on a highway on one of these things but I’d sure be game to “rocket” around the neighborhood on one.

This is a very, very rare Suzuki GAG50. It is the Non-US version on the GSX-R50. The major differences are that the GAG50’s have full lights, mirrors, turn signals, and is street legal! This is an excellent example of these bike. It is very clean! It has spent the majority of it’s life as a show piece in a custom body shop and under cover in my garage. It runs great and only has 465 Km on it. Only issue I recall is the turn signal not blinking (bad really?). Doesn’t bother me as it’s rarely ridden on the street. There are a few small chips in the paint (not bad for a 24year old bike!).

Do any RSBFS  readers own one of these things?  I’m dying to know how quick they are.  I know the YSR’s can clip along at a good pace but I’ve always wondered how these go with the four stroke engine.  I’m going to guess this one will fetch a pretty good price for the seller.  It has extremely low miles, it is in great condition, it is the rare version and who the heck doesn’t want something called a GAG!  Jump in there and .

There are some serious ponies lurking in there!  Looks like they made some aftermarket exhausts for them too.
