Uh oh, the for sale signs are out on Bimotas again which we all know, may cause cases of Bimota-itis. That is where the brain can no longer appreciate a Bimota due to excessive Bimota JPEG viewing. You know what these are so enjoy the pics; but not for too long. I don’t want anyone getting sick.
The story on this one:
- 480 Miles Better than New!
- Ridden on the track at a few demonstrations by Bimota rep Shane Turpin·
- Michelin Pilots (new)
- Slipper Clutch
- NCR – clutch cover
- Countershaft cover (stock also)
- Custom Termignoni Exhaust
- Dyno Tuned Engine Mapping
- Custom Seat Modification to fit exhaust
- GP shift (stock shifting linkage as well)
- New Mapping
- Safety Wire
- White vinyl “number plate areas”
- Battery tender·
- Ducati break-away bolts on mirrors
- California Title
- Cover
- Stand
A minimalist back end. If you haven’t checked out Bimota’s website in a while it is worth a few minutes of dreaming.
It is indeed safety wired.
The usual assortment of mechanical art.
If you so inclined to own it, bid here.

It’s a Bimota…..they probably would be wise to safety wire ALL the fasteners.
If you look at Bimota’s website, they list 3 US dealers: Bimota Spirit, who’s website doesnt’ seem to have been updated in 3 years (still listing 2009 models); Ducati Performance Center which doesn’t seem to sell any motorcycles, let alone Bimota; and Supermoto, who’s website hasn’t been updated since 2008 (still listing 2008 models).
Hidden due to low comment rating…?…Well it’s not a personal opinion. In almost every test I have read of Bimotas over the last fifteen years, something has fallen off them,or come loose during a jounalist’s roadtest.AMCN tested the DB8R recently, and a couple of fasteners went missing.I like the bikes, who wouldn’t,but someone should introduce the manufacturer to Loctite’s range of thread locking compounds.
We don’t care how many magazines you’ve read. You’ve never owned one.
