Posted soon after Tad had spotted the 1985 Honda VF1000R, is this 1986 edition. As Tad noted in the comments, this has the preferred headlight setup. This one has about the same miles at 8,411, but unlike the other, this auction is still live — which means if you missed the first one, you have a legitimate second shot!

1986 Honda VF1000R for sale on eBay
from the seller:
1986 Honda VF1000R in very good condition. Please check out a walk around and start up and running video on you tube. Just search for”.1986 VF1000r for sale on ebay from fonz323″ and it will show right up.
The bike has 8411 miles and is in great running and looking condition. It’s all stock except for the Kerker exhaust. The glass on the speedometer is cracked from the handlebars hitting it at full stop, like most bikes this year, but I will include another complete used speedometer with unbroken glass.. I’m located just north of Philly. You are welcome to come check out the bike in person. I have a signed California title in hand from the second owner. I have hardly ridden the bike since I got it last year because of shoulder surgeries. Please feel free to email me or text my work cell at (202)740-7432 with any questions. I can deliver anywhere between Philadelphia and DC for a fee let me know your location and I’ll give you a price BEFORE bidding. I’ve started the no reserve bidding at $500 less than the last two VF’s sold for on ebay recently. If this is the bike you’ve been looking for, you won’t be disappointed.. Thanks for looking!
Beautiful. The video had me notice the missing tank badge on the right and the tach seems to be out, from the handlebar hit?
Oh listen to that V-4 music! Nothing else like it.
nothing sounds like GDC V-Four! Nothing!
Looks like a nice one ! Though it has a few minor details that need attention I am quite impressed how it gleans in the light ! Gives me some incentive to get my restoration done quicker ! I haven’t yet listened to the video as it might bring a tear or two to my eye ! LOL ! I had a set of Yosh pipes , refurbed them and sold them . I kind of miss them now ! If anyone needs parts or wants a complete one once come Spring/Summer 2015 hit me up . I am on the boards at http://www.vf1000r.com , same handle : RC30FREAK .
Nice looking bike, nice sounding video. The rev counter is not counting revs when the throttle is being cracked. At least two possible reasons come to mind.

MERRY CHRISTMAS & Happy Hollidays to all ! Play safe and ride safe , if you are fortunate enought to have weathwer warm enough to accomodate that . Cheers . 🙂

Yeah I saw that, What reasons you thinking of?
Well, the simplest explanation is that the rev counter doesn’t work, should have been mentioned in the post. Alternatively, the bike seen in the video is not the one heard in the video, less likely but who knows.
I THINK THE TACHOMETER DOESN’T WORK
