Someone’s pride and joy with high-end upgrades; both cosmetics and performance.
A fellow enthusiast and long-time RSBFS follower has decided it is time to trade in speed for comfort. The amount of modifications done to the bike and the fact that he has all factory OEM parts so it can be restored to factory finish, pushed us to feature the bike and bring it to all of you. We are always walking the line of rare / cool and sometimes when the cool factor hits hard, and this much love has been put into the bike, it needs to be shared.
Tricked out and stylized for maximum performance.
If you are looking for a track bike or something that can perform on twisty roads, the ZX-10R ‘s track-focused design and capabilities fit the bill and Michael’s upgrades bring it all home. Its combination of power, handling, and electronic aids make it well-suited for high-speed track days and racing. The bright Kawasaki green says, “try me”.

Your canyon steed
As reported by Nic de Sena in Ultimate Motorcycling, “In 2019, Kawasaki’s superbike does not have the freshest electronics on the market, though they work quite well. It doesn’t have the best dash or user interface. What it offers is arguably more important—a brilliant motor and a remarkable chassis.
The latter points being why our long-term 2019 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R was my trusted track riding and canyon steed for as long as Kawasaki Motors Corp., U.S.A. would allow.
The DOHC powerplant offers that classic Japanese four-cylinder sportbike experience, with seemingly infinite top-end power on tap. Below 8000 rpm, the ZX-10R is almost docile, making street riding manageable with predictable power delivery and commendable throttle response.”
Non ABS note
Some riders simply prefer the feel and feedback of a non-ABS motorcycle. They enjoy the direct connection between their input on the brake lever and the response of the brakes.

Seller:
My name is Michael Hainey. I’m 58 years old and grew up riding motorcycles and lusting after all things with two wheels from H2 triples to KZ1000s with Kerker headers to GPZ900s. I’ve owned many different bikes with my last being a 1992 ZX7-R. After college and moving into a career in engineering, my interest turned to exotic cars. Having recently sold my GT40, I started to notice motorcycles again. Having been a daily visitor to RSBFS for many years, I finally decided it was time to scratch that itch.It was the summer of 2020 and Covid was in full force, I visited my local Kawasaki dealer and purchased a 2019 Non-ABS KRT Edition ZX10R. I brought it home and parked it in the living room and decided to build what for me would be the ultimate machine. I knew Kawasaki’s had to be green so the first purchase was all the cowling for the ZX10RR. I then went through component by component and selected what I thought were the best for what I envisioned when I started the project. I’m sure I’ll forget some things but here is a list of what items were included in the build.
- Arrow MotoGP Full Exhaust
- Superbikes Unlimited ECU Tune
- OZ Racing Wheels
- Ohlins Steering Damper
- 525 DID Chain Conversion
- Numerous Titanium Nuts and Bolts
- Braketech 330mm Floating Rotors
- Superbikes Unlimited Rear Brake Disc
- Carbon Fiber Heel Guards
- Abba Race Stand
- New Dunlop Q3+ Tires(100 miles)
I completed the build in spring 0f 2021. I have been able to ride the bike about five or six times each summer since. The bike now has 2188 miles on it. At 58 years old I have realized that I am looking to move to something with a little more comfort. The bike makes a beautiful centerpiece in the living room but it should be ridden.
It is in immaculate near new condition. There are no flaws, scratches or dings anywhere that I am aware. All stock parts are included and still in showroom condition including KRT Edition cowling, wheels, brakes, exhaust, indicators, mirrors etc. The bike could be returned to 100% stock OEM condition if so desired.
The bike was always stored in a climate controlled facility and ran with ethanol free premium fuel and stored during the winters with a full tank of VP110 racing fuel.
I’m asking $18,500 and will promise it will not be a disappointment when seen in person. For every hour I took it out for a ride, I spent two, cleaning and detailing afterwards. It is not hyperbole to say this bike could be eaten off of top to bottom. It’s that’s clean.
I can be reached at michaeldhainey@gmail.com. Thanks
Clearly Michael can talk shop and enjoys the labor that is required to keep a bike in pristine condition.
Note: Michael also has a Kawasaki Z900 RS SE that he is willing to part with. If you are interested, contact him at the email address above.
