absolutely a future collectible, the very last of the v twin R bikes
addendum: listing on dealer website says rebuilt title
Hard to believe that not pointing out that it has a rebuilt title in the Craigslist ad is an oversight.

Hmm, engineICE? Unless racing the bike, why?! I’d rather have the corrosion protection from regular coolant in a bike likely to be stored much of the time. Especially a rare and valuable one.
Trackday provider rules? Maybe. But I have never seen trackday tech inspection check coolant. I don’t race, so no comment there.
So that goes a long way to explaining why it is 4k to 7k less than comparable examples on recent Iconic auctions. I thought it was a bargain, not so much now.
@ Martin g – great catch – this community is awesome.
Saw this bike while visiting the store. Story behind it talking to the mechanics is that the insurance company was going to total it mainly due to the cost of the exhaust replacement; something like $12K on that alone. Owner now didn’t want to see an FE go to waste so he rebuilt it. Bike is really clean. Whatever mishap it had didn’t even scratch the swingarm, forks legs or any of the carbon. There is a thumbnail-size rash mark on the right exhaust tip and a little on the canister on the bottom that can’t be seen unless you get down there. Some other cosmetic imperfections here and there and assuming the other stuff that touched the ground was replaced as it all appears new. Would also assume Ducati OEM wasn’t cheap either on an FE. Nice touch with the billet clutch cover replacement and noticed there is a battery tender cable installed for charging. Dealer is working direct with the owner too and being OBO, would suspect it would go cheaper than the dealer advertised price. Also of note, FL rebuilt titles are not salvage and look just like clear titles except for the “RBLT” note in one of the columns from what I have seen and are legit anywhere to register. I took my oil filter and left before doing anything crazy on an originally $40K bike and still looking here for a ’92 ZX7R!
