Here’s a nicely preserved BoxerCup Replika with a mere 4k miles showing! I saw one of these recently at a bike show and it struck me how much smaller it appears today compared to my initial impressions when I was a younger rider. This looks downright civilized now and you see them with retrofitted OEM bags all the time. Could be the perfect sport touring mount for a little road trip from Oregon to Northern California that I’ve got planned for next May… -dc
2003 BMW R1100S for sale on eBay
Originally conceived as a showcase of motorcycle racing champions, the Boxer Cup evolved into a noteworthy racing series that garnered considerable attention for BMW. Renowned figure in the two-wheeled world, Randy Mamola, took on the role of BMW’s ambassador and spokesperson for the series. In order to capitalize on the racing exposure and boost sales, BMW introduced a special iteration of the R1100RS Sport model known as the Boxer Cup Replika. This distinctive variant boasted a captivating livery inspired by the race bike, accompanied by select carbon fiber components like unique cylinder head cover protectors and a lower engine cover with an oil catcher. An exclusive under-seat exhaust by Laser and suspension modifications from the stock units were additional highlights. The Replika model featured slightly adjusted geometry, with the rear suspension raised to enhance steering responsiveness and provide increased ground clearance for the cylinder heads. Notably, Randy Mamola’s signature adorned the fairing, serving as a constant reminder of the bike’s Replika status. During its release in 2003, these individually numbered and authenticated models were available for purchase at an MSRP of $13,490.

Bike is all original, under 4,000 miles and is finished in white and blue paint scheme with factory applied racing decals including signatures of Moto GP champion Randy Mamola. This BoxerCup Replica runs and rides excellent with a recent battery and oil change and with less than 1,500 miles on Metzeler tires. The bike is offered with factory tool kit under the seat, side stand, manufacturing literature, factory model and a clean Texas title in the sellers name.
Very interesting proposition given next to the last series # for m.y. 2003, full owner’s kit (a rarity these days). Overall appears well maintained. Ilmberger hugger is a plus. So is the lack of the ABS option. Very good proposition for someone searching specifically for a minty all original BCR.
Anyone seriously interested in a Boxer Cup should take a look at this bike, even at the current bid. Full owner’s kit is not very common, low miles and apparently very clean. Ilmberger hugger is a plus and so is the lack of ABS.
Thank you as always for your input on these models! -dc
