This is a gorgeous bike with only 4,094 miles! It fires right up and it runs a little rough from idle to about 3,000 RPM. From 3,000 RPM and higher, it runs great. The check engine light is on, so the rough running might be due to a bad sensor. The rear brake is not working but everything else on the bike works as it should. It has an LSL upper triple clamp and LSL low handlebars on it, so it sits a little bit more upright than the stock setup with clip-on handlebars. It has a clean title. I will consider all kinds of trades.
As William reported two years ago on RSBFS in 2021, “If someone said they had a motorcycle with a single sided swingarm, fuel injection, 955cc and a unique engine configuration, what would come to mind? Probably not Triumph, and that is a shame because the late 90s and early 00s Daytona was a really good bike. Sure it did not have the exotic nature of the Ducati, or the peak power of the Japanese four cylinders but it did have a very usable performance package for the road. Most in period reviews heaped praise on the Daytona for how fast and usable the performance was on the road. This bike was for owners that knew that there was more to a motorcycle then just lap times. These people were being honest about how the machine was going to be used, and were it was going to spend time. 130hp from the three cylinder engine was plenty to put a smile on anyone’s face, as was the fully adjustable suspension.”
The above bike from 2021 was listed for $3,500 and it had just under 15k miles… so this looks to be a great deal. You can see by the seller’s description that the check engine light is on, so some sleuthing should help ensure you know what you are buying.
Looks like this seller is open to all different forms of payment and ready to negotiate. If you love British bikes, this might be worth a phone call and a closer look. If you can see the bike in person, let us know what you find and whether or not you buy it.
Good luck to the buyer and seller!

a seriously under-rated bike, like a 750VFR only with better sound. Cant believe how cheap these are right now
Agreed, these things are the litre bike deal of the century right now.
