In the early to mid-nineties, these bikes were awash with top shelf kit, and were, in many ways, rolling showcases for Ducati’s up and coming technologies. Chief among them was part of this bike’s namesake: “Iniezione Elettronica” – or i.e. Fuel injection was still far from mainstream — about as far from mainstream as water cooling in a 2-valve Ducati, which this bike also had. For some reason, it also had one of the rattliest, rattly clutches of any of the Italian rattly clutch set.
The Pasos were more sport-touring than full-on superbike, and these competed well with Honda’s RC36 VFR750Fs of the same vintage. The water-cooled motor from this bike would also serve as a blueprint for the ST2 sport-tourer, which came four years later.
From the seller:
7900 original miles. excellant condition. staintune stainless steel exhaust , stage 1 Euro chip added, Ferracci air box conversion., Stainless steel brake lines. no problems. ready to go. same owner last 17 years.
It has the goods, and the small pictures that we can see, show a pretty spanky example that looks like it’s been well cared for. At $4500 it seems to be in-line with what others have fetched in the not-too-distant past. Have a gander here.
