Here’s another cult favorite amongst RSBFS enthusiasts, the FZR400. This one has traveled less than 4500 miles since new and has never been tracked. It’s not all good news though as there is a pretty nasty crack in the fairing. Still, depending on reserve this bike could be appealing to take to the track, repair and enjoy, or even as a first bike for the future sportbike enthusiast in your family. Act quickly though, just 2 days remain on this auction.

1988 Yamaha FZR400 For Sale on eBay
from the seller:
This is a rare opportunity to own a piece of Yamaha History. Usually tracked and or wrecked, this is a very original example of the unique Yamaha FZR 400. I am the third owner, and after much hesitation have decided this needs a new home. I have rarely ridden the bike, and it will be mush appreciated by a new owner. This is an original bike with the exception of the Zero Gravity windscreen, Vance and Hines exhaust, and Dyno Jet kit. I have the original Windscreen, and exhaust to complete the package. I also have a repair manual with most history documented of maintenance and updates. I have replace the tires (they were original on receipt in 2009) with Battleax OEM equivalent tires. I also have updated a few items, fork seals, and brake caliper seals and front master cylinder. This is not museum quality, however a very nice example with few imperfections. I had replaced the upper fairing with an OEM original, and upon spring tune-up, carb. cleaning the upper fairing was cracked and should be repaired. There are a few cracks in the lower fairings where they meet (hidden but present). The exhaust as typical for these has touched the right side lower fairing, however is in tact and could be modified if you prefer. Runs and drives well, however as in anything of this age does not include a warranty and is being sold as is where is. This is not a new bike however I would rate in very good condition overall.
