From the same seller as the VF1000R posted yesterday is this 83 CB1100R. This one is equally clean in presentation though it has also been on display since 2005 and will likely require some recommissioning if you intend to ride this season. Available in Ontario, Canada, this one has 5 days left on it’s auction and current bid is $6100 reserve not met. Thanks for the heads up Patrick!

1983 Honda CB1100R For Sale on eBay
quote from the seller:
The Honda CB1100R was one of the first exotics from Honda – produced in limited numbers from 1981–1983. It was a full fairing sport bike based on the Honda CB900F, with the R suffix denoting a racing version produced so that Honda could homologate the R as a production motorcycle for European and Australian tracks and prove their design in the race world. It was Honda’s first ‘homologation special’; primarily sold in Europe and never imported to North America. The factory punched the engine out to 1062cc with a (70mm) bore. Hotter camshafts, forged pistons, a wider primary chain and upgraded gearbox were used. For racing conditions the alternator was lightened and some R’s even have a lightened starter clutch gear. Only 1,500 examples were built in 1983.
The current owner acquired this example (originally from Scotland) and ran it occasionally until 2005 – when it was decommisioned for display in his collection. It’s in excellent condition, but for a small scrape on the right side engine cover (received during shipping).
What a website, my daily must see. Just wish I had the cash to purchase all these rare bikes.
The stuff of an adolescent gearheads’ wet dreams ! As a 14 year old kid I droolesd over these , especially with these exact gold COmstars . I prefer them to the other versions that some 1100Rs come equipped with . Sweet bike !
It’s up to 15k, and it looks like the reserve’s been met. Someone’s going to get a super-cool toy!
Over $17k now and well over a day to go. Can’t wait to see what happens in the final hours!
