“ThunderDuc” Ducati SC1000 special for sale

Warning!

This post is in our archives. Links in this post have been updated to point to similar bikes available to bid on eBay.

There has been a string of really cool Ducs for sale, but this one has got to be my favorite – a heavily customized / modified Sport Classic 1000 race bike nicknamed “ThunderDuc” (hey, if it’s got a name like that, it’s GOTTA be cool, right?)

To briefly quote the seller:

“For those not in the know, do a search here on it, aka ThunderDuc [ed-here meaning the Ducati.ms forum].

Take one 2006 Sport Classic, naked in original red with white stripes. Mix 1 shot of Red Bull and 1 shot of Heroin into the visuals of what a modern day cafe racer should look like as an actual race machine.

This machine has been used in numerous advertising mediums for our sport including:

Rev’It! 2008 catalog
Alpina Wheels 2008 catalog
AirTech fiberglass’ website
Motorcyclist Magazine Feb. 2009 Adamo/Leoni tribute

And many more all over the web.

Then make it happen over the course of 2 years.”

Just that short description alone makes it sound über cool, but wait till you read about the vast list of customized performance parts such as Zard exhaust system, Alpina tubeless spoked wheels, BrakeTech brake rotors, Yoyodyne slipper clutch – the list goes on and on and on and on…and on!

The seller is asking $17,999 (so that’s less than $18,000, right?) which I think is a bargain given the amount of time and money spent on it.  And it’s already a famous bike!  Click here to see the ad on Ducati.ms

I hope someone picks this up and gives it a good home as for sure it deserves one!!

Phil
