1996 Honda NSR250SP MC28 California Titled And Registered

This is a California legal NSR250SP at a very good price!  Located in San Francisco, California is a 1996 Honda NSR250SP registered and titled in the state.  The seller doesn’t say much at all other than:

1996 Honda Repsol NSR 250 SP MC28 CA SMOG LEGAL. ALL ORIGINAL HONDA PARTS.

The photo is a file photo from the internet but I’ll include it in the post for those of us who may have forgotten what a Repsol MC28 looks like.  There were only 1000 ’96 Repsol SPs released world-wide to commemorate Mick Doohan’s 500gp world title.  The MC28 was the last iteration of the NSR250 line and the SP the ultimate iteration of that line.  However, the MC28s are plagued with the PGMIV system using a Smart Card ignition system.  The standard cards limit horsepower output but, the derestricted HRC cards can be used, and please correct me if I’m wrong, but don’t record mileage when in use as they were only intended for track use–something that should be kept in mind for a prospective buyer.  Now, no mileage, mention of condition, or photos of this bike are in this ad; the asking price is an agreeable $8,000.  We’ve usually seen California MC28 SP’s with asking prices in the $10-12,000 range.  See a list of our MC28 posts here.  If you’ve been looking for a SP MC28, see this bike on Craigslist here.

1992 Ducati 900SS With 3,782 Miles In Charcoal/Metallic Black

This is an early Supersport in Metallic black which was only available in 1992.  Located in Stockton, California is a 1992 Ducati 900SS with 3,782 original miles.  We’ve seen one other example of this color scheme before which caused quite the discussion and can be seen here.  This color was only available in 1992 and only 13 of the half-fairing bikes made it to the U.S. but, I’m not sure on how many full fairing examples made it in.  Anyone know Ian Fallon?  Regardless of how this color is viewed, this is a low mile example of the early white frame Supersports.  This bike isn’t entirely original as it has been fitted with Fast By Ferracci exhaust in carbon and a Dynojet stage two kit to match.  The stock exhaust is included with the bike.  The bike is also fitted with Dunlop D208’s.  The seller also mentions that a full set of gear comes with the bike–useful if you’re the same size and share the same taste as the seller.  This bike looks to be fitted with the correct seat and decals which one would expect from a bike with this low mileage.  The asking price is $6,500 which is $2,000 less than the other black ’92 we saw that had 4,000 more miles.  If you like your Ducati’s black but like something a bit more vintage, see this bike on Craigslist here.

1992 Suzuki GSX-R400R

Located in Jacsonville, North Carolina is a 1992 Suzuki GSX-R400R.  This bike doesn’t have a title, it needs the carbs cleaned, and needs the tail plastic.  However, it has some good features:  Only 8k miles, Yoshimura exhaust, and the asking price is only $1,800.  This could be a very good bike for the right buyer.  See the Craigslist ad here.
