1993 Honda RS125 NF4 Described As “Museum Quality”

This is a fantastic looking RS125, Castrol replica!

Bike:  1993 Honda RS125

Miles:  0 (Since rebuild)

Price:  $5,500USD

Location:  Winter Haven, Florida

The seller states that this RS was completely restored and rebuilt by Rising Sun Cycles–a very prominent name in the U.S. two-stroke GP bike segment.  The paint for this bike, alone, came in at $4,500–ouch!  Anyway, this is a fantastic looking RS in, what looks to be, a Castrol scheme very similar to what Joey Dunlop ran.

The auction also includes:

Bike also comes with a complete roller, minus tank. There is also two sets of new bodywork and a ton of other spares, plus some new rains.

I have 2 complete extra motors, 1 new, 1 with time on it.

If you’re still reading this, you’ve probably started to reconsider your original assumptions after seeing the asking price.  The Museum Quality RS also comes with $1.2K-1.5k worth of spares, possibly more.  That being said, is the main bike shown here worth the remaining $4k?  Well, it would be very difficult to replicate the restored bike using the $1.5k and an additional $2.5k:  knowing what parts & labor would add up to at RSC combined with the purported paint cost.  If you’re in love with the NF4 RS125, or would simply like a living room piece and a track bike (with a little work) for the price of an older NX4 RS125; I’d say this auction should absolutely be considered.  The asking price is a bit startling, but with the whole picture and some math, it doesn’t sound that bad at all.  See this fantastic looking RS on eBay .

Unused HRC Gems: 2008 RS125 And RS250

Unused HRC Gems: 2008  RS125 And RS250

No matter how cool these bikes are, I still blame you Honda for the demise of the two stroke!  It is just such a pity these bikes are disappearing.  I’m not a Honda fan by any means but there is no denying they built some of the best track two strokes the world ever saw.  Honda/HRC’s RS series are the mainstay of 250 and 125 classes across the country.  These two were apparently bought for a rider who got injured and never returned to racing.  Both bikes are 2008’s, never started and have their complete spares kits.

Asking price for the 250 is $25,000.  These bikes have been around for years so there are plenty of go faster parts out there for them.  I did notice though, HRC does not list any official parts for them anymore.  They do for the CBR954RR so go figure.

Asking price for the 125 is $12,000.  He does mention in some later posts on the forum he is open to offers.  They do have a beautiful purpose built look to them.  They can be seen on the WERA Forum here.

I found this searching for a HRC video.  Not relevant to the two bikes above but what a pretty restoration.

2009 Aprilia RS125+Title=FUN

Titled 2009 Aprilia RS125 W/350 Miles

The seller says this bike is just FUN.  I think that pretty much sums it up.  I’ve been told these bikes aren’t rare because they are available at your local Aprilia dealer.  This one makes the cut because someone happened to get a little piece of paper for it that two stroke enthusiasts covet.  Que the sun shining through the clouds and singing in the background: it has a title.  You are free to pollute on either street or track.  Along with the paperwork the bike has some nice upgrades for a boost in power from those 125cc’s.  If you need more info on these bikes be sure to check out the RS125 section of the AF1 Aprilia Forums

Heavily massaged 2009 Aprilia RS125

2009 Aprilia RS125 Titled and ready to go!

Location: Harrisburg, Pennsylvania
Mileage: 175
Price: $6,500.00

So, I’ve become a slacker as of late and to make matters worse I’ve been hoarding a few bikes for myself along the way. Some I hoard in hopes of winning the lottery and others I hoard… well in case a windfall comes my way via a distant relative. NOT!

Anyways, enough of my day dreaming. This RS125 brings the goods and the first thing is it has a title :), but perhaps the best thing is this RS125 has set many speed records. I know what you’re thinking in that a 125 can’t be that fast, but when you consider it has a whopping 34hp and has pulled to 100mph I’d say that is pretty impressive. Doug (not me) tells us that he has invested countless hours and an additional $2,500 dollars in his RS125. As everyone knows speed doesn’t come cheap. Cheap speed comes from losing weight, but when you start off with a 280# bike it’s hard… okay, almost impossible to shed any considerable weight. I’d say your losing ounces instead of pounds.

Have a look at a this little bike that “can and has” with 11 speed records to it’s credit.

From the seller:

2009 Aprilia rs125
Street titled in PA
Arrow exhaust
34mm Carb
V Force reeds

Bike will be available at the end of October.

Bike has had proper break in on road and Dyno

Bike presently holds 11 land speed records

Delivery may be an option

Now over 8000.00 invested in the bike and parts. Excluding labor, title headaches and dyno time.

This bike has every upgrade you would want, without going overboard and affecting reliability

With a base price of $5,500, $2,500 in parts and a major headache at the BMV out of the way; $6,500 sounds like a super sweet deal.

If you’re a fan of small displacement bikes and looking for a well sorted, low mileage Ape hit up Doug at

Good luck with the sale!

1993 Honda RS125 NF4 On eBay

This is a fantastic looking NF4 RS125 on eBay!

Bike:  1993 Honda RS125

Location:  Lexington, Kentucky

This RS125 looks to be in very good condition being finished in a “House Of Color” (Kolor) candy blue scheme with silver Honda wings.  This RS hasn’t been run in at least three years but, was run at Daytona in 2005.  The spares included with this bike include an extra cylinder, plugs, sprockets, rings, fork seals, gaskets, clutch plates and some other items.

Because it’s been sitting for so long, and these bikes are so simple, I would suggest going through it before running it just to be sure everything is as it should be.  I think I’ve said it before but, these NF4 RS’s aren’t competitive with the ’95+ NX4 RS’s.  However, these bikes are less temperamental than the later bikes and make fantastic track day bikes or vintage machines if you have a sanctioning body that has a separate class for them.  The ’93 bikes wear the same front tire as the newer bikes but, have a smaller rear wheel (By a 1/2″).  Tires can still be easily sourced and I’ve actually been told that the larger size will fit on the narrower rim–however, I have no idea how that alters the handling.  These bikes are perfect if you want to play a Gran Prix legend on a budget.  Based on the condition and spares, I would expect to see this bike go for right around $2,500.  See other RS125s we’ve featured here.  See this RS on eBay .

2006 Aprilia RS125

2006 Aprilia RS125

Location: Pensacola, FL
Miles: 1,450
Price: $6,500

Stumbled across this little diva while trolling CL for RSBFS. I’d say it fills our needs pretty well and the ad says its ‘street legal’ so I assume it has a title of some sort. It’s a little on the pricey side, but for the most part a title is worth 1,500 to 2,000 clams on any given day which would put this one right in the mix.

Aprox 1,450 miles – Street legal
Showroom Kept
Many extra’s added

I definitely prefer this scheme over the orange Spanish one..

The ad is a little scarce on info, but you can contact the seller via the CL ad here.

1996 Honda RS125 (NX4) On eBay

A nice looking NX4 RS125 with a good spares package that is ready to go!

Bike:  1996 Honda RS125

Price:  Currently on eBay for $3,000 with two days remaining and the reserve has not been met.

Location:  Great Falls, Virginia

Mileage:  200 miles on top-end

The spares for this bike mainly consist of the small things that would eat you up buying piece by piece (Jets, needles, sprockets, etc.) but it also comes with some nice items such as warmers, tires, and extra cases.  Here is a full list:

Engine Parts:

Used case with crank

New/barely used cylinder (don’t remember – it’s flawless)

Main Jets 150, 152, 155, 158, 160, 168, 170, 172, 175, 2x 178, 180, 185, 188, 190, 192, 195, 198, 200

Pilot jets: 45, 48, 2x 50

Full set of needles:  1468J, 1469J, 1371J, 1269J,1270N, 1368J, 1365J, 1271N, 1370J…too many to type

Used Crank

7 used pistons

New and used rings

Base gaskets: 0.4, 2x 0.5, 0.6

Engine case cover gasket

Front sprockets: 14, 2x 15, 2x 16, 17

Rear sprockets: 34, 35, 36, 4x 37, 38, 39, 40, 41

Stock steering damper

Foot pegs

Brake and shift levers

Clutch cable

Stock silencer

Brake pads

Fairing stays

Other good stuff:

Graves tire warmers front/rear

Set of rain tires

2-stroke oil

Many spare fasteners

I wouldn’t use the used pistons and used crank as the risk wouldn’t be worth it, but that’s just me.  This bike seems ready to go and will compete with all the other RS125’s because they haven’t changed much since ’95.  If you’d like a little 125 this is worth considering, it’ll be interesting to see what the reserve on it is.  .

Aprilia RS125 2009 ready to rock!

2009 Aprilia rs125 with the wiring harness installed, registered and plated!!!

Location: Visalia, CA
Price: $1.00 with reserve still on — duh!
Mileage: 110 miles

I’m 99.9% sure this is another RSBFS listed by Larry a rare sport bike fanatic! I believe we recently posted his RS250 Loris Reggianni Replica on May 15th of this month. Hopefully, he is unloading only to re-load the collection. I recall SicDuc telling us that he purchased bike #11 for himself, which was a NSR 250 from Larry. SicDuc went on to tell us that-

Like larry said to me when i was there “everythings for sale!!” Give him a call..

Like I said in the title- this RS125 is ready to rock-n-roll and appears to have all of the hard work completed. It has the Euro wiring harness installed with all of the D.O.T. necessary evils and it has a sweet Arrow exhaust to really annoy the neighbors with. I really like these and think it would look super sitting in my shop. Hmmm, I wonder if Larry has any interest in a 1990 FZR 400 with only 8,000 miles on it. While I’m looking for Larry’s number to horse trade you can take a look at this sweet lil’ skeeter killer.

Aprilia rs125 for sale

Okay, found Larry’s # and just in case he won’t trade me I did the honor of putting the first bid on it. Who cares if it was only a $1.00 bid… You never know when a second chance offer might come your way. 🙂

You can out bid me by jumping to .
