1993 Ducati 888 SPO For Sale in Florida

It’s that time of year again. When the summer is just about over and all the bikes hit the classifieds after another riding season. Strap in, I’ve got a few to highlight this afternoon!

First up is this Ducati 888 SPO for $9k on Craigslist:

quote from seller’s listing:

1 of only 200 ‘handbuilt in Italy’ 1993 Ducati 888 SPO’s imported to the USA!
Ducati estimates that due to racing, accidents, thefts etc, that there are probably only 20+ of these rare bikes in exceptional condition exist now.

[…]

Still looks NEW – Runs like a BEAST! Extremely Low Miles – Only 10,723 miles – Nothing looks or SOUNDS like a 4 Valve per Cylinder Ducati (NO valve springs! Only Ducati has the ‘DESMO’ Magic 🙂
This one has upgraded seat, ProItalia rearsets, chip, carbon fiber exhaust, stainless steel brake lines, the complete paper copy (in binder) 5 language maintenace manul, records, enthusiast ‘coffee table’ books and more…

[…]

This is one of the more affordable ones I’ve seen for sale really. And they’re only going up. Someone should go check this out.

Update: This bike was only for sale for a short time when the owner emailed to alert me he had a change of heart and decided to keep his bike. We appreciate that he is willing to let us keep pictures of his sharp looking SS on the site. -dc

1993 Ducati 888 SPO For Sale in Santa Barbara

Here’s a nice low miles Ducati 888 SPO for sale in California. The 888 is final evolution of the 851 Superbike and is the precursor to legendary Ducati 916.

quote from seller’s Craigslist Ad:

A very clean example of an early Superbike. Upgraded Renegade carbon exhaust cans, Goldline controls w/ CRG levers, white Marchesini wheels, clutch slave, Barnett clutch basket/ clutch plates, Speedymoto pressure plate. Only 9,400 miles. Always garaged and kept very clean. A beautiful bike to add to a your stable.

The 888 has a cult following and prices are on the rise. With a character all it’s own, this looks nice at $10.5k. Still not convinced? Check out this great 888 video (not the bike for sale) on YouTube:

1985 Yamaha RZ500 Red and White For Sale Cluster1985 Yamaha RZ500 Red and White For Sale1985 Yamaha RZ500 Red and White For Sale Back

quote from eBay posting:

The bike is all factory original with 38,000kms and although i’m not a mechanic-I think it does require a good going over as it was in storage for over 12 years. It does in fact run and usually starts on the very first kick with the choke on. It does however have a few imperfections due to its age but has never been crashed while being driven as far as I can see. Appears as though it was dropped while being pushed around or maybe it fell off the stand.

These RZ’s have that crazy 2 stroke, 4 cylinder “square” configuration with two cranks! Read more about the RZ500 at How Stuff Works.

Ever ridden an RZ500? Leave us a comment below and tell us about it!
