2001 Ducati 748RS With Very Little Use On eBay

Alex 1

This is a very good looking 748RS with 400 total miles on eBay!

Bike:  2001 Ducati 748RS

Location:  Salt Lake City, Utah

Mileage:  400mi

The seller states that this 748RS has only been used ten times with four of those times being races.  This bike has always been owned by a dealership and is still on MSO.  This bike is stock except for the silver paint and decals.  The bike has recently been inspected and is said to need nothing.

This bike is a factory Ducati Corse item for use by privateers and as such requires a large amount of routine maintenance, parts replacement, and inspection.  A lot of this is inspection but there are major issues such as inspection and replacement of the cam items at very low mileage (compared to a street bike) intervals.  Don’t get me wrong, these are fantastic bike’s but, if you think maintenance schedules and parts costs are outrageous for the R series bike’s, this one’s probably not for you.  However, if you’re looking for your own piece of Ducati Corse history and either want to use it as art, or have the pocket’s to run it, this bike IS for you!  Supposedly only around 20 of these were brought into the U.S. making them very rare but, are a factory race item so it’s to be expected.  If you’d like to bid on this nice 748RS, see it on eBay document.write('');here.

2010 Bimota HB4 Moto2 GP race bike for sale!

Phil 11

Genuine Bimota HB4 Moto2 GP race bike with for sale in Germany – for 169,000 euros!!

We’ve seen enough Bimotas around here, but nothing compares to this find – a genuine Bimota HB4 (the ‘H’ standing for the Honda 600c.c. race spec engine in it) Moto2 GP race bike! For those who may not have been following MotoGP, Moto2 is the new controversial (controversial because it conflicts with the World Super Sport 600c.c. class) GP race class that will replace the 2 stroke 250c.c. machines.

The Bimota HB4 was created specifically for participation in Moto2 racing, and it is the only new Bimota to carry a Honda engine in the last 27 years (its predecessor – the HB3 – was introduced in 1983).  In any case, I’ll let the pictures do the talking:

From the seller (translated from German using Google translator):

Offered here is a complete ready to race, moto racing 2. Bimota Moto 2 HB-4. Two similar vehicles will ride in the Moto 2 World Cup. Driver: – 1 76 BERNAT MARTINEZ (E), MAQUINZA-SAG TEAM – 2 Ratthapark Wilairot (TH), THAI HONDA PTT SAG, – This is offered here Bimota Moto-2 is produced on request, and has approximately 10 weeks delivery from receipt of the deposit. The vehicle is built up by HPC-Power. The frame is made of high quality aluminum and molybdenum Crom milled parts. A 145-hp, 600 cc Honda engine, Ohlins TTX shock, Paioli gas-fork, magnesium forged wheels, Brembo monobloc brakes as standard. The engine management system is realized through a high-quality Motec system. The data recording and dashboard features will also be realized by the famous Motec ADL. Functions such as, tractioncontrol, launch control and brake assist are standard on WM. Many other technical features can be identified if interested. The purchase price includes three race days in which the vehicle through two Renningineure of HPC power is adjusted to the buyer. Chassis, and engine management Trachtionskontrolle be adapted perfectly to the needs of the driver. – If you are interested please call Motorcycle Hertrampf in Nordhorn

How the seller got their paws on a genuine HB4 I’m not sure, but I do know that this is probably a once in a life time oppourtunity to owning  a first year Moto2 race bike. 169,000 euros is a lot of money, but for some rich collector, I am sure it’s worth the price. I’d be all over this if I had that kind of money!

2008 HARC PRO HONDA HP250RF

Jay 3

Check out this very interesting 2008 HARC PRO HONDA HP250RF, 1 of only 27 made!

If you want to be “Club Racer of the Month”, this little jewel just might do the trick. Even if you just stay in the pits all day and hang out, you’ll have bragging rights to “I’ve got one and you don’t”… unless the guy with the Ducati Supermono shows up.

Not sure if the little tuning shop from The Rising Sun actually set out to make this bike or they just had a bunch of 125 and 250 bits they couldn’t sell. Interesting that the bike has 125 size wheels, single front rotor, 125 (similar) bodywork and frame but a 250 four stroke motor. I mean the whole thing looks like a 125 until you get to the “what the hell were you thinking?” mondo swing arm. If someone told me it was stolen off the Repsol MotoGP bike, I’d believe them, then to add insult to injury they finish the bike off with a SOLID aluminum rear sprocket (hey Harc Pro the 70’s are calling and they want their sprocket back).  Check it all out here

All in all if the thing weighs in at under 190 lbs and makes decent hp, which is no where listed, it would be a blast to ride/race.  It will probably make a very competitive club racer or a super fun track day bike but I think the money has to be about $10k, pretty much the same as a Moriwaki 250. Click on the “full spec” link   where you can find deal breaking  specs (at least when I’m shopping for a bike) like capacity “1” (rider) or ground clearance “110mm” or the fact that it tells you the clutch lever is on the left. I mean who in their right mind would buy a bike without knowing all this cool stuff?? ….pass the California Roll please, arigato all.

Moriwaki MD250H single cylinder race bike for sale

Phil 3

Brand new limited production Moriwaki MD250H single cylinder race bike for sale on ebay.

Now we’ve seen our share of special bikes for sale here around RSBFS, but thanks to a tip off from our reader Mike, here’s a truly unique oppourtunity – document.write('');a brand new limited production Moriwaki MD250H single cylinder race bike for sale on eBay:

This is a New Honda Moriwaki being offered for sale at our Honda Powerstore. This is a Limited Production Full Race Ready Motorcycle. Being a Race Bike, this bike cannot be financed by conventional means, so you will have to have your financing or cash ready. We can paint this bike any color that you want, at an additional cost.

Last year, American Honda and Moriwaki Engineering had announced the availability of a limited number of MD250H racebikes. The bike was meant for young racers who wanted to take part in the USGPRU roadracing series.

An exquisite piece of engineering, the Mroiwaki MD250H is fitted with a four-stroke, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder 249cc engine from Honda. Also used in the Honda CRF250X, this engine is specially tuned and fettled by Moriwaki, for the MD250H.

The MD250H is a serious bit of equipment, a proper small-bore GP bike. Custom fabricated twin-spar aluminum chassis, radial-mount calipers for the front disc brake, USD fork, Honda’s Pro-Link rear suspension, lightweight wheels, race-spec tyres and works-style welded aluminum fuel tank – the MD250H is pure racer all the way.

Who’s Moriwaki? They are the legendary Japanese tuning firm which is to Honda what Yoshimura is to Suzuki, and probably best know for its Honda V5-powered MD211VF MotoGP bike which campaigned in 2004.  For more info on the MD250H and the related race series, click HERE and HERE.

The power output of the CRF250X lump won’t win any drag races, but housed in the tiny 125 GP size chassis, the whole package makes for a super light bike with brilliant handling and decent power to weight ratio – not to mention cheaper running costs then a highly strung 2 stroke engine.  I bet this thing would be more fun around the track than wringing the neck off a 600cc super sport!

Update: This posting is pretty outdated. Check out some of these current listings on eBay for bikes and parts right now!

Third of three very rare vintage race bikes for sale on ebay

Phil 1

The last one is probably the most “famous” or well known (and definitely the most desirable and collectible) of the three – a document.write('');1974 Benelli Quattro 500 GP racer:

A beautiful high end museum restoration by Kent Riches.

Any Italian motorcycle collector worth his weight in salt will know that a Benelli racer is one of the most desirable and sought after machines… A Benelli racer rarely makes it to the open market… They are usually passed around between collectors, friends and museums… Now is your opportunity to add a highly desirable brand to your Italian collection…

This classic racer has had a no-expense spared restoration to make this piece a true museum quality motorcycle.

Flawless paint, accurate decals and badging are just some of the fine detailed work.  Other features are…

Akront shouldered rims

Four leading shoe front drum brake

Marzocchi forks

Marzocchi rear shocks

Dellorto flat slide carbs

Melossi velocity stacks

Sexy Rob North pressure formed exhaust

Fiberglass fairing and bodywork

The motor is fresh and ready to run

Even without being an expert, I know almost any Benelli from the previous era is desirable and collectible.  With this being a 500cc GP racer, I am not surprised with the $18,000 Buy It Now price.  Regardless of if you are into the classics, how can you look at those curvy legs exhaust pipes and not fantasize about the beautiful howl from that engine?
