2000 Aprilia RS 250 Cup bike on ebay

Found, what looks like, a very clean RS Cup Bike with relatively low miles at 3,404 on ebay today. As our regular readers know these are one of our favs on so its probably no secret that I post everyone I come across. This one has a few spares to go along with it that includes 2 extra sets of silencers; one of the sets being Jolly Moto. I always chuckle when I say “Jolly Moto” – not sure why, but I do. The seller states this particular RS has spent its entire life on the track, but at 3,404 miles and 9 years old, I would say that’s not too bad. My calculations say it clocked a mere 378 miles a year.

Here’s what the seller has to say:

This bike is in great shape and has been on the track all of its life. These bikes were brought over for the aprilia cup challenge in 2000, it has never had a title and will only come with a bill of sale, this is a Pure race bike. The bike is just the way i bought it, here’s a list of upgrades from stock. The front forks were done by traxxion dynamics for 175lbs rider; full Jolly Moto exhaust, retail around 1,000; Woodcraft rear sets, retail 350; 2″ Exhaust temperature gauge, retail 200; also comes with stock pipes, hanger, extra race upper fairing, not pictured, stock front springs, extra levers, stock rear sets, extra front and rear sprockets 2 each, new ek gold chain in box, oil, spark plug, new in package clutch plates, metal and friction, head gaskets, center case gasket, and exhaust o-rings.

I put on new f-1 grips. The tires are new, they only have one track day on them and are in great condition. The brakes, chain & sprockets are all in great shape. It needs nothing but a rider. You’ll receive the service manual, supplement, receipts and the paperwork I received with it from the previous owner. In the paper works it states on 7/12/05 a new complete top end by PowerMotorSports, Paul Bounds. If you have any other question please contact me.

I don’t know about the rest of you, but I would be tickled pink if I found this under my tree in two weeks (note: send link to wife)

Reader Submission: Aprilia RS250 Chesterfield!

Ian and John sent me emails within minutes of each other leading me to this post. It’s an Aprilia RS250 Chesterfield replica in Tampa, Florida (Craigslist):

quote from the listing:

Max Biaggi Chesterfield Aprilia RS – $13775
Own a piece of history very rare factory built Chesterfield Max Biaggi RS250 two stroke 90 degree V twin unique street legal motorbike. This unit is 100% stock and has a upgraded with an Arrow Exhaust system. The factory exhaust is included in the sale of the bike. Any and all up grades to the bike include the stock parts if it is headed for a museum and the owner wants it like the day it come out of the factory.

A RSBFS favorite, the RS250 in Max Biaggi regalia is one of the most sought after. And the pictures would suggest that this example is near mint. That said, John and I are in agreement that the $13775 is quite a bit higher than market.

Thanks for the link guys!

Three Aprilia RS50 Race Bikes

Located in Torrance, California are three Aprilia RS50s in race trim.  The seller doesn’t list much info about these bikes other than to contact him but these aren’t street legal and I assume untitled.  However, the seller does have a decent spares package!  If you’re interested in more information, don’t hesitate to contact the seller.  See the ad on here.

1995 Aprilia RS250

Located in Northern California is a titled and plated 1995 Aprilia RS250.  This isn’t a converted track/cup bike, it is a factory street bike.  I don’t think this bike has appeared on RSBFS before, however there have been several ’95s available in California.  The seller states this bike is immaculate, has low miles and factory original.  The asking price is $9,500; seems a bit high for this time of year but if it is in original factory condition it might be worth it.  See the bike on here. See the photos here.

1996 Aprilia RS250 Chesterfield in Santa Barbara for $7k

You know we’re big fans of the RS250, the Chesterfield replica in particular, and this one looks beautiful!

1996 Aprilia RS250 Chesterfield Replica For Sale

quote from seller’s listing:

Beautiful Aprilia RS250 for sale. This bike has NO TITLE, it was registered in Vermont where they issue registration only for vehicles under 300cc (they are considered scooters). Bike was shipped to me as parts years ago from overseas through a Pennsylvania dealership so it was never titled. Bike is in excellent running condition. I just removed the engine, replaced the top end, gave everything a good cleaning, and it is in better condition than when I got it years ago. Top end has about 15 miles on it max. Crank and bearings seemed OK by my inspection during the top end job. It has been sitting in my garage for the last two years with only occasional starts to keep the carbs clean. The odometer reads 12,000 miles, but it was swapped from the original which read 12,000km (which I will include with the sale), so the bike actually only has about 12,000 km on it. The condition of the bike is 8/10. There is an area of scraping on the bottom of one fork leg and the front wheel axle nut which inclines me to believe the bike had been down prior to me getting it, but I have no history on that. The bodywork and frame are not damaged. The bike is all stock except for some tasteful carbon fiber on the frame sides, top triple clamp, gauge panel, and brake reservoir bracket. The front and rear fenders are both carbon fiber. The bodywork has been clearcoated over some surface imperfections which are minor, but I will mention for the sake of full disclosure.

Maybe this will end up under your Christmas tree. Santa knows who’s been naughty and who’s been nice!

1996 Aprilia RS 250

This little gem is worth a look if you are in the market for a RS 250.

Only showing 8342km or 5,183 miles on the clock this one appears to be really nice. Owner is asking $6,250 obo and is listed on the LA Craigslist.

Owner says:

This is NOT a converted Challenge Cup bike. This bike was originally made to be ridden on the streets and highways. Front and rear brand new tires with less then 10 easy miles on them. Bike also comes with as shown a very rare light weight $1250.00 Gianelli (made in Italy) hand made racing exhaust/expansion chambers with dry weave carbon fiber silencers, Sudco (made in Japan) adjustable steering damper and a brand new Zero Gravity smoke tinted windscreen.

I don’t think I’ve ever noticed a silver RS for sale, but I by no means see them all.  This one looks super sweet and ready to rock-n-roll.  At $6,250 it seems to be priced right in the mix.  Check here for past RSBFS RS250 post

1999 Aprilia RS 250 almost new!

Aprilia RS 250 on the Los Angeles CL  Bike is located in Long Beach, CA

This non street version has been sitting, but it should be in great shape considering it has less than 300 miles…  Hmmm lets do some 4th grade math; 300/10 = 30 miles per year average,  that’s insane!  If I owned this thing, it would have had a couple Mag Lights duct taped to it and I’d be ripping through the canyons doing my part to put the mosquito population in decline.  The owner has it listed at $3869.00 (sort of an odd number) which seems pretty darn fair considering it’s brand new and still has the spares kit.

Aprilia RS250 1999, good condition, not street legal, less than 300 miles, comes with front and rear wheel stands and spares kit. This bike has been sitting in my garage for 8 years help me clean out the garage so my wife stops complaining.

Someone help Rob get his wife in line and get this out of his garage and into yours.

1996 Aprilia RS 250 Chesterfield Replica

Yes, another RS 250 up for grabs.  This one was spotted and sent to us by John, a daily RSBFS reader.  A big THANKS to John for the hook up on this one because it is nice!

Aprilia RS 250 listed on the AF1 forum

This beauty has 12,000km or 7,456 miles on the clock and looks amazing in the photo’s.  So if you have a little Max Biaggi in you and feel like a racer boy, this could be yours.  The owner says it is stock other than changing out the dashboard to read in MPH.  He also mentions some carbon fibre bits, but nothing that should detract from the bike.  It still shines and looks fast even while sitting still.

Comments from the owner:

It is a beautiful example of an intentionally unmolested RS250, I wanted to keep this bike as stock as you see it from the showroom, since I am more of a collector. The bike has some tasteful carbon: both fenders, and even some trick items like the frame guards, radiator bracket, fluid reservoir bracket, and lower fairing mounts.

The owner would like to see $7,000 out of it.  It’s a good looking RS located in somewhere in Cali.  So if you or anyone you know is in the market here is your chance for a factory street version.
