With heavy hearts the world reacts to a champion taken too early. RSBFS staff share a moment of reflection for Nicky Hayden, with thoughts for the family, friends and fans left behind.
Thanks for taking a moment to remember Nicky. Always in our hearts, #69Forever
A monster on the Hondas over the years, always a class act!! Too short….but what a ride Nicky, well done!!
Incredibly sad – but glad that he is not going to have to live a life off a motorcycle as a shell of his former self.
A great champion.
A great example of humility, honesty, and integrity.
RIP #69.
Great Job on mentioning this… Followed Nicky his entire career. I remember Valencia 06 like it was yesterday!! God Speed Nicky.
Going to the races with my 10 year old son at Road America and watching him on the RC 51, then going with my son a few years later to see his first win at Laguna are really great memories for a number of reasons. I spoke with his mother for a long time at Laguna a few years later. What a great family. A short life well lived but ended to soon. Really sad for the family.
God’s Speed Nicky. A race well run.
Really sad news, a great racer, a real gentleman. I am sure there is a permanent spot on Heaven’s front row for the Kentucky Kid. Godspeed Nicky.
Incredibly sad . Rode at 100s kms/hr but fatally injured at a near walking pace , how weird is that ? Never saw him complain or whinge . Gods speed champion .
Kudos for the tribute post. He’s been our guy for so long. It leaves an empty spot in all our hearts.
Nick Hayden was one of America’s greatest racers. To have his life ended in such a manner is a travesty. I only wish I had the chance to meet him. He will always be in our hearts.
Thoughts go the family, RIP
I had a chance to meet Nicky and see him race few times ,always a competitor, smile on his face, always cool and friendly ,he will be MISSED, prayers and condolences to family and friends .
From Australia, Thankyou Nicky for your style and talent, got love those Irish jugs you did up on the podium when you won.
May your sprit spread around the world
Blue skies, Nicky. You’ll be missed by an awful lot of people – and that’s a life well lived even if far too short.
