Once a North of the Border machine but legally imported in the 1980s, this 1981 Yamaha RD 350 LC bridged the gap between the air-cooled RD350/400 series and the 1984 RZ350 here in the US. Even though US-based riders saw only sporadic model releases until the RZ, the LC (as in “liquid cooled”) version was available in many markets outside of the US. This is one such model, and is in striking condition.

This auction is going on right now, with an opening ask of $6k and zero bids thus far. The price is on the high side for an RD/LC, but with title and papers here in the states and in totally sano condition, I’m not so sure it is out of line. If you are looking for a pre-mix fix and want something you don’t see everyday, here is your sign. Check it out here. Good Luck!

Nice bike, price is too high! Why paint the pipes blue, is dog ugly! The stock exhaust is very good, not being designed for USA epa so its a good pipe. I bought a set of new generation Toomeys for my RZ350, didnt like them at all.
Ughhhh. The blue exhaust draws your gaze to the wrong place. Reminds me of a company that years ago sold colored tires. It all just accentuates the wrong details. Like a fat chick in a blue spandex shirt.
It has been my experience that Yamahas are the most corrosion prone motorcycles I have ever owned. Not only is this a Yamaha, but it is an 81. Looks showroom new! Minus the smurffy pipes anyway. If I were shopping for a bike right now, I’d bid on it.
The pipe color works. Lemme explain: Imagine rollin up to the local Thurs night bike cruise on your sweet 2T with your woman popping along at your side on that cherry Elsie wearing matching smurf-blue gloves. That’s hot.
Hello,
Is your motorcycle still available? If so, could you please call me.
Thank you,
