Featured Listing – 2009 Ducati 848 with 1,996 miles!

So much Superbike goodness is aboard Ducati supersports, that in their more street-friendly package they can be the smarter purchase.  Our friends at Northwest European offer their most recent arrival, a 2009 848 with just under 2,000 miles.

2009 Ducati 848 asking $8,950

With its neo-classic Giandrea Fabbro design, the 848 shares its red trellis and bodywork with the 1198 superbike, along with the magnesium headlight subframe.  The engine was an all-new design and used vacuum casting to help it weigh less than the previous supersport mill.  134 hp would’ve been in the superbike arena just a few years earlier, but the torque curve is such that the shifter and wet clutch don’t require continuous attention.  Brembo monoblock brakes are same as the superbike, suspension geometries are identical, and Showa fully adjustable forks and monoshock are specified.  The single sided swingarm only looks massive, with room for a theoretical pillion above.  Marchesini Y-spoke wheels are forged and finished in black to match the mudguards and side covers.

Northwest European’s 848 shows beautifully and all original.  There has been just one owner, and having been victim of a tipover, the new owner can ride without the dread about that first imperfection.  Jason at Northwest European has these notes –

The Ducati 848 shares a frame and all body work with it’s big brother the 1098. Penned by designer Giandrea Fabbro, the new Ducatis were cutting edge both in terms of style and technical innovations at the time. Today they provide tremendous value for Ducati ownership – modern super bike looks and performance, and the pride of ownership of a modern collectible. Something to ride and use today, and be part of a growing collection long term, the best of both worlds.

Our latest arrival – An all original, clean, one owner, Ducati 848 with only 1,996 miles showing. Comes with all the original manuals/books, two keys, factory toolkit, and original sales and warranty paperwork. A new battery was fitted along with an engine oil and filter change in May 2022.

Northwest European asks $8,950 for their 848 and you can contact Jason with questions at 206-355-7727 or by email – jason@nweuro.com

In its classic Ducati rosso, the 848 also isn’t a stickered special edition – just a small laurel wreath on the tank celebrates Troy Bayliss’ 2008 championship.  And since most 1198 accessories will fit, there’s ample room for customization.  The 848 reviewed as one of the more riderly Ducati sportbikes – fun without automatic jail time, a modern dash without the distraction of electronic nannies, and lower on the maintenance scale.  Plus the superbike looks can’t be beat.
